Attraction rays, also known as grasping rays, have been described in the works of several generations of science fiction writers. In addition, the use of this technology is attributed to UFOs - it is believed that aliens use it to abduct people and animals.
Of course, most skeptics and traditionalist researchers regard this technology as purely hypothetical. More precisely, it was a couple of days ago, before scientists from the Australian National University managed to develop and assemble a very real device that generates an attractive beam.
The device was presented to the public quite recently. The new technology is only at the initial stage of its development: so far, with the help of light, only small particles of matter can be moved. However, even this is a huge breakthrough, which will undoubtedly be followed by new achievements.
In short, the principle of operation of the device can be described as follows: a laser beam is applied to the smallest glass particles, the central area of which remains dark and relatively cool. When particles are irradiated, the air surrounding them heats up. As a result, particles in the dark zone are pushed outward to the warmer edge of the beam. In turn, particles outside are directed inward under the action of particles pushed out of the center.
Of course, at this stage we are talking only about miniature objects, but something else is important: if this technology is real and accessible to people, it is possible that an older civilization could take it to a new level, and is now using it to achieve practical goals. Looking at the situation from this angle, the question arises: where did people get the knowledge about attraction rays before they were invented? Of course, this knowledge was extremely generalized, but it was. It is possible that the invention was simply foreseen. On the other hand, is it possible that everything was different, and that some of us or our ancestors actually managed to see this technology in action?
