A rock with ancient Egyptian hieroglyphs is located in the New South Wales National Park, 100 km north of Sydney on the Pacific coast. The inscriptions tell the story of ancient Egyptian travelers who were shipwrecked "in a strange and hostile land."
Presumably, ancient Egyptian inscriptions were discovered in 1975, and before that they were part of local folklore for more than a hundred years, which arose from the stories of a few eyewitnesses who accidentally found hieroglyphs. It is really not easy to find the inscriptions, the nearest settlement is a 30-minute walk, and most of the way lies through the rugged local bush, which hid this mysterious place all these years.
The inscriptions are very ancient and clearly made with a tool, since some points and lines have strictly vertical walls without slopes, as well as drilling marks. In general, I must say that a lot of work was done, on two walls with an area of 40 sq. m. more than 250 hieroglyphs are applied.
Hieroglyphs have varying degrees of preservation, which once again confirms their authenticity and antiquity. On the southern wall, the petroglyphs are worse preserved, but on the northern wall they are clearly visible. The weathering of the rock is clearly noticeable where the ceilings collapsed and the inscriptions became open to the winds and the sun, but where the wall is under a canopy, the inscriptions are well preserved.
Some of the hieroglyphs are easily recognizable, and some are not. These hieroglyphs belong to the most archaic form of ancient Egyptian writing known to us, which has many similarities with the ancient Sumerian, and with which only a very limited number of Egyptologists are familiar. One of them, Ray Johnson, who took part in the translation of the most ancient texts from the collection of the Cairo Museum of History, was able to translate the "Australian" inscriptions.
As it turned out, the walls contain a chronicle of ancient Egyptian travelers who were shipwrecked "on a strange and hostile land," as well as information about the untimely death of their leader. As follows from the inscription, this leader belonged to the royal family and was the son of Pharaoh Djedefr, who succeeded Pharaoh Khufu (Cheops) at the head of Egypt, to whom the official academic history attributes the construction of the Great Pyramid on the Giza plateau. The death of the leader from snake venom and the ritual of his burial are described in detail.

Thus, there is no doubt that the ancient Egyptians visited Australia millennia ago. That's just how they moved remains a mystery.
