A lottery lover from Nigerian Delta state lost his eye due to a potion that was supposed to win him. Reported by the Pulse edition.
Emmanuel Okachi, 27, often played the lottery but never won. He decided that he needed supernatural help and turned to a sorcerer who lived in the village of Ishiagu near the city of Ogwashi-Uku. He prepared a potion for him that gives magical vision and helps to see lucky numbers. For it to work, it had to be drunk and rubbed into the eyes.
Okashi followed the instructions of the sorcerer and began to use the purchased mixture. He soon noticed that the potion was unpleasant. His left eye was swollen and the lottery lover ended up in the hospital. The doctors could not help him, and he lost an eye.
The victim's older brother said that the whole family was shocked by what had happened and wanted to forget about the incident as soon as possible. The sorcerer who sold the potion fled the village and hides in an unknown place.
In July, it was reported that a sorcerer was killed in Nigeria, who decided to test an amulet that deflects bullets. The amulet did not work, and the witch doctor died from a gunshot wound.
