From the sacred books, we know many examples when saints and angels appeared to mere mortals. We know from esoteric books that many texts are dictated to authors by mysterious voices. At the same time, voices and visions are a strong sign of mental illness. And how now to understand - is a person who talks about meetings with the otherworldly sick, or is he actually given to see the invisible?
Many years ago I met a strange woman on the street. She spoke loudly, without addressing any of the passers-by. Mechanically repeating the same thing: “I have a radio in my head. By the way, I once knew a girl who, in her youth, talked about her meetings with aliens, and later, when ufology went out of fashion, switched to stories about the visits of heavenly angels. The girl had a mild form of schizophrenia, and, as you can see, she understood which miracles were more interesting to the public at the moment.
But the world is full of secrets, and it is quite possible that some people really see and hear what others cannot. It turns out that there is a simple way to distinguish a patient from a clairvoyant.
If a person is sick with schizophrenia or other serious mental illness, during the period of exacerbation, he cannot think sensibly, cannot follow the logic of other people's ideas and build the logic of his own. He loses his ability to work, suffers from depression, often shows an inadequate reaction, his speech is incoherent, delusional. While the clairvoyant does not lose his ability to act, maintains a clear mind and physical health.
