Not far from the capital of Mexico are the ruins of an ancient city built more than 3 thousand years ago. It seemed that the message was special, given that the Aztec civilization, known for its huge cities, flourished on this territory, but this is only at first glance.

In reality, the find is extremely surprising and this is primarily due to the fact that there are buildings, there are streets, but there are no traces of people. It seemed that in such a huge city people should live, who eventually died and they should have been buried, and accordingly there should be remains of skeletons and other evidence of human existence. But they are not!

Just 50 kilometers from Mexico City, there are the ruins of the ancient city of Teotihuacan, which is the most incredible archaeological find in the history of mankind. The main feature of the city is the huge pyramids on its territory. They are all facing the same direction of the world, their edges are flawless, the main feature of their location is full compliance with the location of the planets in the solar system. The central pyramid and the largest one symbolizes the Sun, further from it there are smaller pyramids and symbolizing the planets revolving around the celestial body, there is even a pyramid - the Moon. After measuring the distance between the pyramids, scientists reported an unexpected result - all distances correspond to the real ones between space objects in the solar system, but on a scale of 1 to 100 million. Who founded this citywhere are its inhabitants and who destroyed it? Despite the huge number of expeditions, there are still no answers to these questions.

The city of Teotihuacan was built before our era, about 3 thousand years ago. Already in the seventh century AD, the first representatives of the Aztec civilization came to it. An abandoned and practically destroyed city awaited them. All caches with tombs and ritual gifts were looted, and sacred statues were disfigured and broken. The only ones that survived were the giant pyramids, obviously due to the fact that it is practically impossible to destroy them, since they were built from huge monolithic blocks, each of which weighs at least 5 tons. This city impressed the Aztecs so much that they called it the City of the Gods.

How could the ancient inhabitants of the city build huge pyramids from such a material as gray basalt, which is second only to diamond in strength. All the stones that make up the pyramid are processed with such precision and care that even a knife blade cannot be inserted into the joints between them. It is simply not possible to imagine that this was done using tools made of copper or bronze.

According to modern scholars, the city-empire of Teotihuacan was the largest on both American continents. Almost 200 thousand people lived in it. This city has had a significant impact on the culture of all Latin America. During its heyday, it surpassed in size the capital of the main European empire, Rome. However, historians to this day have not even learned the name of its rulers. The inhabitants of Teotihuacan did not leave any written evidence - neither royal decrees, nor chronicles. By the standards of antiquity, 200 thousand of the population is a huge number, but who inhabited it? No one knows the answer to this question, only one thing is known, that the civilization that lived there was very developed. Scientists have no answer to the question of why the city died. The only thing that archaeologists managed to establish is the fact that the city was destroyed almost instantly.

The fact that the destruction of a huge city happened literally in one day, archaeologists learned after they established the dates for the construction of each pyramid. As it turned out, they were all built at the same time. This could not happen if the population of the city has been dying out for centuries, because the new generation is always completing something. That is why the difference in the construction of the pyramids in Egypt reaches thousands of years. Archaeologists are sure that the city of Teotihuacan died in one day from the invasion of the barbarians. It was destroyed by a tribe that came from the north of modern Mexico. But this version, despite the reality, still cannot be accepted as the main one as an indication of the reason for the destruction of the city.

First of all, this is due to the fact that archaeologists have not been able to find traces of weapons or household items that should have remained in the place where people lived for a long time. It seems that the entire population of the city gathered all their belongings and retired in an unknown direction, and at the same time did not leave any evidence of their life activity. Some researchers hypothesize that this could only happen because of an alien civilization - it kidnapped ancient people!

As proof of their words, the supporters of this hypothesis cite data from recent excavations. During excavations at the foot of one of the pyramids, archaeologists have discovered the perfectly preserved remains of a strange creature that looks like a child, but with a huge head and tail. Supporters of the existence of an alien civilization argue that the found remains belong to an alien from another planet. Scientists-anthropologists fundamentally disagree with these statements, they argue that the found remains belong to a mammal unknown to modern science, but which has undergone a strong mutation. The fact that mutations are far from uncommon and occur in various parts of our planet has long been known and is not a secret.

There are also supporters of the version that the inhabitants of the city were extremely hostile and had technologies at their disposal that could destroy life on other planets. Obviously, the aliens struck first and destroyed a potential enemy from Earth and in the process destroyed all evidence of the existence of civilization. This version is confirmed by the special arrangement of the pyramids in strict mathematical proportion and the last unfinished pyramid on the eastern side, which may have been the final touch in the creation of interplanetary weapons and which was not completed due to the intervention of an extraterrestrial civilization.

All versions have the right to exist, but which one is correct, perhaps archaeologists will give in the near future, since excavation work does not stop, but on the contrary, is gaining momentum.
