A mother and six children claim to have seen a flying saucer land and three "very tall men in silver suits" in the early summer of 1979.
An unusual meeting took place on the outskirts of the British town of Normanton, located in West Yorkshire, after eight-year-old daughter Joyce Westerman ran into her mother's kitchen and shouted that a plane had landed on the field.
According to the woman, all her children ran out into the street, where in the field, just a few meters from the house, stood on the ground a strange dull gray object in the form of a "Mexican hat."
“There were three very tall 'men' standing around the object, dressed in shiny silver metal suits that flexed as they walked. It seemed to me that these people were pointing to a dark instrument on the ground.”Joyce called the strange object“a torch without light.”
Needless to say, all six of Mrs. Westerman's children were speechless when unknown people stepped behind the ship, after which it "rose vertically, stopped in the air, and then without making a sound took off at an angle into the sky at very high speed."
The case was investigated in detail by British ufologists Philip Mantle and Mark Birdsall of the Yorkshire Society of UFO Researchers, who stated that the woman and her six children were interviewed separately and gave similar responses.
“There were only minor discrepancies, but it’s natural for different people,” said Philip Mantle, who is set to share the details of the incident at a UFO conference in Yorkshire on September 9, 2017.
