The mysterious house in the American city of Westfield, New Jersey, was finally sold. The current owners of the dwelling are tired of constant harassment from the so-called "Observer", whose identity is still a complete secret.
The family living here claims that they can no longer expose themselves to risks, so the property will be sold, and at a reasonably low price. Perhaps, in fact, there will be buyers who wish to purchase a cottage, presumably under the constant sight of a joker, maniac, pervert, or even a supernatural guest.
The history of the creepy "Observer"
It all started in June 2014 when the couple Derek and Maria Broaddus moved in with their three children. The purchase of a luxurious two-story mansion cost them $ 1.3 million. However, soon new tenants began to find in their mailbox mysterious and frightening letters left by a certain "Observer", as he calls himself.
For example, here is the content of one of these messages:
My grandfather watched over this house in the 1920s, my father in the 1960s. Now it's my turn. Have you already found what is hidden in the walls? I think you will find it over time. I already know your names, and I am very pleased to know that you brought me young blood. Who owns the bedroom facing the street? I will know about it as soon as one of you moves in there. I will know exactly who and where of you are sleeping. This will allow me to better plan my actions. All doors and windows in the house allow me to constantly observe you. I can't wait for the hour when the young blood is mine.

Scary, isn't it? As you might guess, the Broadduses immediately went to the police. Law enforcement officers, however, were not shocked by these letters as much as Derek and Maria. It turned out that the former owner of the cottage - an elderly retired military man - also received similar messages more than once, but treated them with humor and even left ironic responses to an unknown ill-wisher.
Is the "observer" something paranormal?
The guardians of the law carried out a fingerprint examination of the paper, on which the letters were carefully inked, but they did not find fingerprints. No traces of DNA were found either. According to the policemen, this is a joke from one of the neighbors, which nevertheless looks like a threat, so the author of the letters should be brought to justice. Unfortunately, this has not yet been done. Even when the Broaddusses installed a video camera in their backyard, it still has not captured anyone. Meanwhile, ominous messages continue to appear in the mailbox - as if out of nowhere!
