Is time travel real? This question still occupies the minds of not only fans of fantastic literature, but also venerable world-famous scientists. From the point of view of modern physics, there is nothing supernatural in this: Albert Einstein argued about the almost limitless possibilities of quantum physics, and at the end of the last century, biophysicists began to seriously engage in experiments on quantum teleportation - the instantaneous transfer of information about an object to any distance. What is not a working model of a time machine?

The history of attempts to build a "time machine" goes back centuries. In 1842, an archaeological expedition, while inspecting the ancient Egyptian temple of Seti in Abydos, discovered unusual drawings above the entrance to the tomb at a height of almost ten meters - they depicted some unseen devices. No one could understand what these images are. And only today, researchers have seen that hieroglyphs reaching an age of five to six thousand years are suspiciously similar to combat aircraft and submarines.

Where did the ancient Egyptians get an idea of the technology of the distant future? Maybe they saw the technology of the future, making an amazing journey through time? Why shouldn't aliens from the future, say, from the XXII or XXIII century, take someone from the Egyptians with them? For what? Perhaps in order to study the history of ancient civilizations in a more comfortable and calm atmosphere.

… Britain of the Early Middle Ages, mid-12th century. According to the chronicles, in the early autumn of 1134, the peasants of the village of Woolpit in Suffolk County saw children wandering around the field - a boy and a girl. Children are like children, except that they turned out to be green! Hair, skin, clothes - everything was green. The peasants took the children to the village, to their master, Sir Richard Kane.

Ancient British chroniclers William of Newburgh and Kogzhshall Abbot Ralph (their manuscripts are now kept in the British Museum) noted that when children were given peas in pods, they could not open them, but they were familiar with the grains and ate them with pleasure. They spoke in a strange language, although individual words could be made out, they were also dressed unusually …

Where did the green children come from? After spending several hours with them, Richard Caine came to the conclusion that the kids apparently ran away from home from bad parents, and the strange behavior is the result of a mental disorder. They were left in the master's house.

Soon they mastered the local language and said that while walking one day near the house, they saw a device glowing with green light, came closer and heard a strange sound, and then suddenly found themselves on a field flooded with bright sunlight. They insisted that they were from these places. Only now everything around has changed a lot: the houses have become much smaller, they are built differently, people are dressed quite differently from all their friends … The manuscripts have preserved drawings made from the words of these children: the architecture and style of clothing of people really say that children - immigrants from England. Only now, not the XII century, but the XV or XVI … What kind of "apparatus" worked when they approached? Is it not a time machine, carelessly left in the clearing by some traveler from the distant future?

One of the most mysterious historical figures is the great Italian painter, sculptor, architect, scientist, engineer of the Renaissance Leonardo da Vinci. An exemplary Christian who painted pictures on biblical subjects, he, on the other hand, was a convinced atheist, naturalist, author of a number of inventions that became understandable only today (for example, it was Leonardo who invented the plane, tank, grenade launcher and many other things unthinkable for that time). However, the researchers are convinced: the genius of Leonardo looked many centuries ahead, and even for our descendants left a lot of food for thought.

It is known that the great Italian never got sick. During the times of general pestilence and epidemics, in the absence of not only antibiotics, but also basic sanitation, Leonardo lived to a ripe old age. There is only extremely scanty and not very reliable information about his life. Who is he? Is it not a guest from the distant future, who settled in an era he liked? Or, according to another hypothesis, his time machine suffered an accident that he could not fix …

In 1950, in Times Square, New York, a strangely dressed man suddenly appeared in a stream of fast moving vehicles on the roadway. The driver did not have time to brake and knocked him down. An unknown person died on the spot. The police conducted an investigation and were unable to draw a clear conclusion. It turned out to be some kind of nonsense: this man left the house in … 1879 and never returned. This was evidenced by his documents and files of old newspapers. For many years he was listed as missing, but was never found. Rather, it was, but 80 years later …

Similar phenomena, according to newspaper reports and eyewitness accounts, took place in Russia: on September 27, 1989, on the outskirts of Voronezh, while walking in the park, a 16-year-old teenager disappeared in front of an astonished crowd. He "came back" forty minutes later, but he looked much older. According to the doctors' conclusion, his biological age was equal to… 25 years!

Albert Einstein faced time discontinuities during World War II while conducting the famous "Philadelphia Experiment". This experiment, during which the destroyer Eldridge appeared in the fall of 1943 in the fall of 1943, and half an hour later appeared a few hundred miles from this place, became one of the most intriguing mysteries of the 20th century. Einstein himself, attracted to the experiment as a theorist, destroyed all records about him and declared that such experiments were extremely dangerous. What caused such a reaction of the scientist? Most likely, the fact that the people on the destroyer became victims of the experiment: five lost their minds, and three were found dead. The cause of their death has not been established.

All this did not prevent scientists from the USSR from continuing their attempts to tame time.

The first model of the Lovondatr time machine was completed on April 7, and it started working on April 8, 1988. At the same time, the first, more than modest results were obtained.

During five years, four experimental installations of varying degrees of complexity were made. Lentil-shaped devices included a closed spatial structure with special electromagnetic properties, a control unit, a power supply unit and measuring equipment. The required configuration of electromagnetic fields was created by an electromagnetic working surface (EWS) - layers of flat electromagnets nested into each other according to the matryoshka principle, twisted in the form of ellipsoids. The operating mode set by the control unit could be very diverse.

The services of experimental dogs had to be abandoned for humane reasons. The honor of the pioneers went to mice and cockroaches. The first experiments with the movement of insects and mice into the past ended in failure for them: a difference of two seconds, alas, no one survived. Those who had the carelessness of being near the experimental setup developed painful symptoms. Only after the scheme was finalized did the animals undergo the transfer procedure. Although it is still unclear whether it was really a time travel, or some other, outwardly similar physical processes …

Research continued by biophysicists.

“The experiment involved four groups of mice,” says Doctor of Biological Sciences Alexei Smirnov. - Two of them, healthy, were at the Institute of Biophysics in Pushchino, near Moscow. The other two, at the Novosibirsk Biophysics Department of the Russian Academy of Sciences, were infected with the virus. Half of the subjects in Moscow had cells responsible for their general physical condition. Further, with the help of a torsion generator installed in Pushchino, information about healthy mice was transmitted to the Novosibirsk relatives participating in the experiment.

Amazing things happened: the blood composition of the experimental mice from Siberia began to change, the infected cells renewed as if by themselves, and in the end the animals recovered. Mice from another group, over which such manipulations were not carried out, fell ill and soon went to another world …

Later the experiment was changed: before infecting mice with the virus, information about their health was "frozen" and saved. When a mouse fell ill, it was irradiated with a torsion generator containing this healthy memory: in other words, the mouse was, as it were, transferred back for some time, to a state when the virus was not yet in its blood. In more than half of the cases, the body of the irradiated mice reacted positively: the virus disappeared from the blood. The same mice that were not irradiated died.

Similar experiments are now being carried out within the walls of the Institute of Biophysics of the Russian Academy of Medical Sciences and the Institute of Biomedical Problems of the Russian Academy of Sciences, but it is too early to talk about their results.

“The movement of living beings along the endless tape of time, as experiments show, is quite possible,” wrote Doctor of Physics and Mathematics, Academician Kozyrev. - Time can be subject to man, although we have not yet learned such technologies. When people master the technique of quantum teleportation and torsion technologies, new, one might say, endless horizons of knowledge and possibilities will open up before them.
