Babylon will be judged on the day of God's wrath. This harlot filled the measure of iniquity, her time has come, she is ripe for destruction.
“For her sins have reached heaven, and God remembered her iniquities … in the cup in which she prepared wine for you, make her twice. How much she glorified herself and lived luxuriously, so much give her torment and sorrow.
For she says in her heart: I am sitting as a queen; I am not a widow and I will not see sorrows! For this one day executions, death and weeping and hunger will come on her, and she will be burnt with fire, because the Lord God is powerful, who judges her. And the kings of the earth, who have committed fornication and mourned with her, will mourn and mourn for her … saying: Woe, woe to you, the great city Babylon, the mighty city! for in one hour your judgment has reigned. (Revelation 18: 5-10)
“And the merchants of the earth,” who “got rich from her great luxury,” “will stand far away from the fear of her torment, weeping and sobbing and saying: woe, woe to you, the great city, dressed in fine linen and purple and purple, adorned with gold and stones precious and pearls! For such wealth perished in one hour. (Revelation 18: 11, 3, 15-17)
When the voice of God brings the people back from captivity, there will be a terrible awakening of those who have lost everything in the great struggle of life. During the trial, they, blinded by satanic deceptions, justified their sinful lifestyle. The rich prided themselves on their superiority over those deprived of such advantages, but they became rich by breaking the law of God. They neglected their duty to feed the hungry, clothe the naked, act justly, and love works of mercy. They strove to exalt themselves and gain reverence from people who are mortals like them. Now they have lost everything that made them great, and remained poor and defenseless. They look with horror at the destruction of the idols, which they preferred to their Heavenly Father. Having sold their souls for earthly riches and pleasures, they did not seek to enrich themselves in God and as a result suffered a complete ruin. Their inner contentment was replaced by bitterness and annoyance. All their treasures were turned to dust. Accumulated over a lifetime is destroyed in an instant. The rich weep over the ruins of their magnificent mansions, over the gold and silver scattered in the wind. Suddenly they stop crying, realizing that they themselves must perish along with their idols.
The unclean do not regret that they showed sinful disregard for God and their neighbors, but that God won the victory. They weep for the consequences of their sins, but do not repent of their wickedness. If possible, they would use any means to win.
Now the world sees that those whom they mocked and mocked, and even wanted to wipe off the face of the earth, remained unharmed after plagues, storms and earthquakes. He who is a devouring fire to violators of His Law is a safe haven for His people.
The essence of his teachings will now be revealed to the spiritual minister who sacrificed the Truth for the sake of human favor. The All-Seeing Eye watched him when he stood at the pulpit, walked along the street, and communicated with people. Now it is showing up. His every feeling, every written line, every spoken word, every deed that misleads people was a seed sown, and now in the miserable, lost souls around him, He sees a ripe harvest.

The Lord says: “And they heal the wound of the daughter of my people lightly, saying“peace, peace!” but there is no peace. " "You grieve with lies the heart of the righteous, which I did not want to grieve, and support the hands of the wicked, so that he does not turn from his vicious path and does not keep his life." (Jer. 8:11; Ez. 13:22)
“Woe to the shepherds who destroy and scatter the sheep of my flock!.. Behold, I will punish you for your evil deeds”… “Weep, shepherds, and groan, and dust yourself, leaders of the flock; for your days are fulfilled for your slaughter and your scattering … And there will be no refuge for the shepherds and no salvation for the leaders of the flock. (Jer. 23: 1, 2; 25:34, 35)
Ministers and people understand that they did not maintain a right relationship with God. They see that they have rebelled against the Author of all just and righteous Laws. The elimination of Divine prescriptions opened the way for all kinds of evil, strife, hatred, lawlessness, until the earth turned into a huge field of enmity and an abyss of debauchery. And all who rejected the Truth and chose the path of lies will see this. Language is unable to describe the longing that all unclean and unfaithful will experience at the thought of what awaits them for their atrocities. People, before the talent and eloquence of whom the whole world admired, now sees everything in the real light. They understand what they have lost because of their crimes against the Heavenly Father. They will fall at the feet of those whose faithfulness was previously mocked and mocked, and they confess that the Father loved them.
People understand that they have been deceived. They blame each other for their death, but the most bitter accusations fall on the lot of spiritual shepherds. These Iscariots, unfaithful shepherds predicted only pleasant things, teaching their listeners to live by fables, to consider the Law of God invalid and to oppress those who sacredly venerated Him. Now, in despair, these accountants confess to everyone that they deceived people. The people begin to see clearly, the rage covers crowds of people. “We are lost,” they shout, we are lost because of you,”and they attack the false shepherds. The same people who most admired their shepherds shower them with the most terrible curses. The same hands that once crowned them with laurels now rise to kill them. And the swords that were prepared to destroy the people of God are now turning against the enemies of the human race. Fighting and bloodshed is going on everywhere.
"The noise will reach the ends of the earth, for the Lord has a contest with the nations: He will condemn all flesh, He will deliver the wicked to the sword." (Jer.25: 31) For six thousand years a great struggle continued. The Son of God and the heavenly messengers, overcoming the resistance of the evil one, warned, enlightened, and saved the children of the earth. Now everyone has made a choice for themselves; the wicked are ultimately united with Satan in his struggle against God. The time has come to restore the authority of the violated Law of God. Now God enters into a struggle not only with Satan, but also with people. “The Lord has a contest with the nations”; "He will deliver the wicked to the sword." "Cursed is he who does the work of the Lord carelessly, and cursed is he who keeps His sword from blood." (Jer. 25:31; 48:10)
“On the foreheads of mourning people, sighing for all the abominations that are happening among him,” an invisible sign of deliverance will be placed. Then the angel of death will come out, represented in the vision of Ezekiel by people with deadly weapons, who were given the command: "Beat the old man, the young man and the maiden, and the baby and wives to death, but do not touch a single person on whom the sign is, and start from My sanctuary." … The Prophet says: "They began with those elders who were before the House." (Ezek. 9: 4-6) First of all, those who considered themselves spiritual mentors of the people will be destroyed. The unfaithful guards will fall first, there will be no mercy. Men, women, girls and small children will all perish together.
"For behold, the Lord is coming out of His dwelling to punish the inhabitants of the earth for their iniquity, and the earth will reveal the blood it has swallowed, and will no longer hide its slain." (Isa.26: 21) “And this will be the defeat that the Lord will defeat all the nations that fought against Jerusalem: everyone's body will dry up while he is still standing on his feet, and his eyes fade in his pits, and his tongue it will dry up in his mouth. And it will happen on that day: there will be a great confusion between them from the Lord, so that one will seize the hand of the other, and his hand will rise on the hand of his neighbor. (Zech.14: 12, 13) From the raging passions raging in them and from the terrible outpouring of God's anger, not mingled with mercy, the wicked inhabitants of the earth - priests, rulers, the rich, the poor, the great and the small - will perish. “And there will be those who are slain by the Lord on that day - from the end of the earth to the end of the earth, will not be mourned, and will not be cleaned and buried. " (Jer. 25:33)
At the Second Coming of Christ, the wicked will be wiped off the face of the earth, destroyed by the spirit of His mouth, and destroyed by the radiance of His glory. Christ will take His people to Himself into the city of God, and the earth will become depopulated. “Behold, the Lord wastes the earth and makes it barren; changes its appearance and scatters those living on it. “The land is utterly devastated and completely plundered; for the Lord has spoken this word. " "For they transgressed the laws, changed the statute, broke the everlasting covenant." “For that, the curse eats up the earth, and those who dwell on it are punished; but the inhabitants of the earth were burnt. " (Isa. 24: 1, 3, 5, 6)
The whole land looks like an abandoned desert. Everywhere there are ruins of cities and villages destroyed by the earthquake; trees uprooted; boulders thrown by the sea or broken away from the rocks, and in the dark places where the mountains have been cut by other bases, huge hollows and caves gape.
An event occurs which is typified by the last solemn service of the day of judgment. After the end of the ministry in the Holy of Holies and the sins of Israel were removed from the sanctuary by the blood of the sacrifice for sin, then a scapegoat was brought before the face of the Lord, and in the presence of the entire congregation the high priest confessed over him “all the iniquities of the sons of Israel and all their transgressions and all their sins and put them on the head of the goat. (Lev.16: 21) Likewise, when the work of redemption in the heavenly sanctuary is over, then in the presence of the Lord, the heavenly angels and the host of the redeemed, the sins of God's people will be passed on to Satan; he will be declared the culprit of all the evil to which he incited the children of God. Just as the scapegoat is sent out into the wilderness, so Satan will be banished to the desolate land, into the desolate, gloomy wilderness.
The revelation of John the Theologian predicts the expulsion of Satan and the state of chaos and desolation in which the earth will find itself, informing that such a state will last a thousand years. After describing the Second Coming of Christ and the destruction of the unclean, the prophecy says: “And I saw an angel coming down from heaven, who had the key to the abyss and a large chain in his hand. He took the dragon, the ancient serpent, which is the devil and Satan, and bound him for a thousand years, and cast him into the abyss, and imprisoned him, and put a seal over him, so that he would no longer deceive the nations until the thousand years were over; after this he must be set free for a short time (Rev. 20: 1-3)
From two passages of Scripture it is clear that the expression "abyss" means the earth immersed in darkness and chaos. The Bible says about the state of the earth “in the beginning” that it was “formless and empty, and darkness was over the deep” (Genesis 1: 2). The prophecy says that, at least in part, the earth will return to this state. Looking at the great day of God, the prophet Jeremiah said: “I look at the earth - and, behold, it is ruined and empty, - to heaven, and there is no light on them. I look at the mountains - and now they tremble, and all the hills vibrate. I looked - and, behold, there was no man, and all the birds of the air scattered. I looked - and, behold, Carmel is a desert, and all its cities were destroyed from the presence of the Lord, from the fury of His anger”. (Jer. 4: 23-26)
Satan and demons will live here for a thousand years. Bound to the ground, he will not be able to penetrate into other worlds in order to tempt and annoy their non-fallen inhabitants. In this sense, Satan will be shackled, because there will be no one left over whom he could exercise his power. He will be completely deprived of the opportunity to deceive and destroy people, which for many centuries was his only joy.
The prophet Isaiah, looking at the deposition of Satan, exclaimed: “How you fell from heaven, day girl, son of the dawn! crashed to the ground, trampling the nations. And he said in his heart: "I will ascend to heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God … I will be like the Most High." But you have been cast down into hell, into the depths of the underworld. Those who see you are looking at you, thinking about you: "Is this the man who shook the earth, shook the kingdoms, made the universe a desert, and destroyed its cities, did not let his captives go home?" (Isa. 14: 12-17)
For six thousand years, Satan's rebellion "shook the earth." He "made the universe a wilderness and destroyed its cities." And he "did not release his captives to freedom." For six thousand years, he accepted the children of God into his prison, and they would have remained his captives forever, but Christ broke these shackles and returned freedom to the prisoners.
Satan will not have authority even over the unclean; he will be left alone with demons to experience the consequences of the curse inflicted by sin. “All the kings of the nations, all lie with honor, each in his own tomb, and you are thrown outside your tomb, like a despicable branch … you will not unite with them in the grave; for you have destroyed your land, you have killed your people. (Isa. 14: 18-20)
For a thousand years Satan will roam the desolate earth, contemplating the fruits of his rebellion against the Law of God. He will suffer greatly during this time. From the moment of his fall, he had no time to reflect on his deeds, but now, deprived of his strength, he will have the opportunity to think about what he has done since the day when he first rebelled against heavenly rule, and with warmth and horror await a terrible future when he will have to suffer for all the evil done to him and be punished for the sins to which he pushed people.
The captivity of Satan will greatly delight God's people. The Prophet says: “And on the day when the Lord will arrange you out of your grief, and out of fear and from the grievous bondage to which you were enslaved, you will utter a song of victory against the king of Babylon”, “and you will say: how is the tormentor gone … The Lord crushed the rod of the wicked, the scepter of the rulers, striking the peoples in rage with inevitable blows, in anger dominating the tribes with irrepressible persecution. (Isa. 14: 3-6)
For a thousand years, between the first and second resurrection, judgment on the unclean will take place. The Apostle Paul indicates that this judgment will begin after the Second Coming of the Lord: "Therefore, do not judge in any way before the time, until the Lord comes, who will both illuminate what is hidden in darkness and reveal the intentions of the heart." (1 Cor. 4: 5) Daniel says that when the Ancient of days came, “judgment was given to the saints of the Most High” (Dan.7: 22). At this time, the righteous will be made kings and priests of God. John says in Revelation: "And I saw thrones and those sitting on them, to whom it was given to judge." “They will be priests of God and Christ and will reign with Him for a thousand years” (Rev. 20: 4,6). This will be the time predicted by the Apostle Paul: "The saints will judge the world." (1 Cor. 6: 2) Together with Christ they will judge the unclean, comparing their deeds with the Book of the Law, the Bible, and deciding the matter of each according to what he did while living in the body. And the sentence passed will be written against the name of each in the book of death.
Christ and His people will judge Satan and the evil angels. Paul says, "Don't you know that we are going to judge angels?" (Article 3). And the Apostle Jude declares: "And the angels, who did not retain their dignity, but left their dwelling place, are keeping them in eternal bonds, under darkness, at the judgment of the great day." (Jude 6)
At the end of the thousand years, there will be a second resurrection. Then the unclean will rise, rise from the dead, and stand before God to hear their judgment. John the Theologian in Revelation, describing the resurrection of the righteous, says: "The rest of the dead did not come to life until the thousand years were over." And the prophet Isaiah says about the unclean: "And they will be gathered together like prisoners in a pit, and they will be locked up in prison, and after many days they will be punished." (Revelation 20: 5; Is.24: 22).
“Woe to those who desire the day of the Lord! Why do you need this day of the Lord? he is darkness, not light, the same as if someone had run away from a lion and a bear would have been caught by him, or if he had come home and leaned his hand on the wall and the snake would have stung him. Is not the day of the Lord darkness, but light? he is darkness, and there is no radiance in him. (Amos 5: 18-20)
