The flood legends are perhaps the best-known biblical traditions. For a long time, non-religious people considered this to be fiction. But not so long ago, scientists put forward the assumption that the worldwide then is a real event. One of the fundamental proofs was the fact that the same flood story occurs in different cultures around the world. And this is not the only weighty fact proving that there really was a flood.
1. The presence of marine formations above sea level
One of the best ways to detect past floods is to have the special wedge-shaped structures on land that are characteristic of the seabed. Any significant water activity, such as a tsunami, creates such formations on the seabed. However, they have also been found on land. This suggests that in the distant past there was a huge, widespread flood. In 2004, similar soil formations were found in the mountainous regions of Madagascar.

Ecoarchaeologist Bruce Massé has studied the area in detail. He believes the area is evidence of large-scale flooding and its cause - an impact crater under the Indian Ocean, which was probably formed by a large comet falling to Earth. A similar event, according to Massé, caused giant tidal waves and huge flooding.

On a piece of land opposite Mount Ararat in modern-day Turkey (where, as the ancient texts testify, the Ark landed on the ground), David Allen found what he believed to be the remains of Noah's Ark. The dimensions of the "remains" generally correspond to those described in ancient texts, and the area itself is known among the locals as Naxuan ("Zion Noah"). This place first became known to the world in the late 1940s after the discovery of a strange formation on the earth after an earthquake.
3. Ancient Scriptures Telling the Same Stories
Almost every civilization has legends about a great flood in "ancient times". They are all remarkably similar, even in detail, despite the lack of known contacts between these civilizations. He did it and survived while "all other people died." Roman legends speak of the god Jupiter, who, with the help of Neptune, sent a flood to the Earth in order to rid it of "evil people". In this story, Deucalion and his wife Pyrrha escape the flood on a large boat that is docked at the top of Parnassus. In ancient Egyptian legends, Atum sends a flood against the "rebel people."
4. Göbekli Tepe
While this is purely speculation, the ancient temple complex of Göbekli Tepe is considered by some to be one of the first regions to be created after the Flood. This 12,000-year-old megalithic complex has preserved buildings and evidence of irrigation and agriculture, as well as bizarre stones with animal designs. There is also evidence from altars where animal remains have been found, suggesting that they were sacrificed.

5. Many underwater cities
Various underwater cities (or their remains) are found all over the world. Many of them are also very close to the approximate date of the flood - 10,000 BC. A perfect example of such underwater ruins is located off the coast of Okinawa. In 1986, the remains of giant steps and pyramids were discovered there. This find is made even more intriguing by the fact that there were ancient legends about an underwater city that was supposedly located in that place.

Off the coast of India, thanks to new sonars in 2002, they found the ruins of a city that extend for many kilometers under water. It is believed that this city was flooded during the last ice age.
6. Significance of the list of Sumerian kings
In the ruins of ancient Sumer, among the mass of other relics, an object was found known as the "list of the Sumerian kings", which was a list of the kings who ruled Sumer since the beginning of time. What is particularly interesting about this list is that it identifies the rulers who lived before the flood, which is believed to have occurred about 12,000 years ago. All of these kings ruled for hundreds of years, suggesting that they lived much longer than modern humans.

After the Flood, the length of reigns began to reflect more realistic life periods - most kings ruled from 10 to 40 years. Some believe that the Flood brought about much larger changes than originally thought, including the life expectancy of humans.
7. The Dead Sea Scrolls
With the discovery of mysterious scriptures known as the Dead Sea Scrolls in the late 1940s, texts came to light that had not been seen for thousands of years. Scientists have also received more descriptions of both the Flood and the "Ark" used by Noah. The scrolls detail the Flood and the ship built for salvation. It is assumed that the Ark looked like a pyramid.

8. Alien references
Since the late 1970s, researcher and author Zechariah Sitchin has published a series of books called Earth Chronicles. In these books, he talked about the alien race of the Anunnaki who came to Earth and killed the "working race" of people to mine gold for them. These descriptions are based on Sitchin's translations of ancient Sumerian texts.

Many paleocontact theorists claim that we are talking about ancient alien astronauts.
9. New theories
Although Flood theories as a real event were once rejected by researchers and scientists, modern researchers are now seriously considering this question. This shows a change in thinking, as well as admitting the possibility that the Flood was an actual event. Some conspiracy theorists argue that there is a targeted delivery of information in small chunks (although who is responsible for this is unknown).

10. The Ark as a DNA Bank
Even assuming the Flood was real, the stories about the Ark are not necessarily to be taken literally. However, tales of the ark (or some other similar vessel) are present in all flood legends. If we recall the theory of ancient astronauts, then the Ark could be the collection of the DNA of every living species in preparation for the restoration of life after the flood. This suggests that many thousands of years ago, advanced technologies were available, understood and used.
