Russia has been one of the world's greatest powers for centuries. She ruled as one of the largest and greatest economies, political and military centers of power on Earth. And today the world is in awe of Russians again. It is impossible to accurately analyze world events without taking into account one of the most powerful countries in the world. Is Russia mentioned in the Bible?
Even many Christians do not realize that the Bible is full of news and analyzes of current events. In fact, one third of the Bible is made up of predictions about politics, economics, international relations and war. Jesus Christ Himself actively enlightened about prophecy: news of world events before they happen.
But can the thousand-year-old Bible tell us anything about the Russian Federation of the 21st century, or about the imperialist domination of this Slavic people and their current president?
It may be hard to believe, but the answer is yes
The current revival of Russia and its future military tricks are described in two key Bible prophecies.
The first prophecy tells of the "kings of the east." In Revelations 9:16 and 16:12, God the Father and Jesus Christ told the apostle John that these kings would gather a common army of "two hundred thousand." According to the Bible, this force (which is almost a hundred times larger than the current US regular / reserve army) will go into battle in a massive world war.
There is only one place from which this army of two hundred million people from the east can come - this is Asia, home of the most populous countries in the world. If we take into account other prophecies, as well as world history, it becomes clear that this army will include Russian forces.

The second key prophecy is found in the Old Testament, and it indicates who will lead this largest army in history. This information can be found in Ezekiel 38: 2-16.
“Son of man! Turn your face to Gog in the land of Magog, the prince of Rosh, Meshech and Tubal, and prophesy against him. And say: thus says the Lord God: behold, I am against you, Gog, prince of Rosha, Meshech and Tubal!
And I will turn you around and put the bit in your jaws, and I will bring you out and all your army, horses and riders, all in full armor, a large army, in armor and with shields, all armed with swords: the Persians, Ethiopians and Libyans with them, all with shields and helmets: Homer with all his troops, house of Phogarmus, from the borders of the north, with all his troops: many nations with you."
Ezekiel prophesies that a leader named Gog will come from the people of Mehesh and Tubal and lead an allied army from many different nations.
This leader and his people will come from the land of Magog, which in the comments is usually associated with the vast areas of northern Eurasia, stretching from the Baltic Sea to the Pacific Ocean.
The Bible describes Mehesh and Tubal as peoples inhabiting neighboring territories. According to Assyrian records, Greek chronologies and other sources, the descendants of these peoples have been together for centuries.
According to the International Standard Bible Encyclopedia, starting with the Assyrian records, Mehesh is referred to as Mask, Masks, or Mashki, and Tubal as Tabal or Tabali.
The name Musku is directly related to Moscow, the capital of Russia.
The meaning of the name Tabal is also evident in the modern history of Russia. On the eastern side of the Ural Mountains, the Tobol River flows, and the city of Tobolsk is named after it. Although Tobolsk is no longer a prominent city, it was once the seat of the Russian government in Siberia.
It seems incredible that after 2600 years, a book written by an ancient author so accurately defines a people and a nation, and even rivers and cities.
However, based on biblical prophecies, it can be predicted that over the course of decades Russia will gather colossal power. This is happening today and this trend will continue.
