Long-term studies of the poltergeist phenomenon indicate that most often the phenomena of the “noisy spirit”, although they cause a certain amount of trouble and some portion of fear to its eyewitnesses, do not carry obvious threats to the physical health of people. However, sometimes unfortunate families have to deal with acute or critical forms of this phenomenon, when psychoterror and physical violence become the norm in the activity of the raging "bastard".

Recently, our sector for the study of the poltergeist phenomenon came across just such a critical case, which happened back in February 2008 in the small Romanian village of Lilietsi near the city of Bakue (Western Moldova region). Later, several Romanian channels told about this story. In the center of the terrible events were residents of two houses from this village. The nightmare began immediately after the funeral of 36-year-old Catalina, the daughter of 68-year-old Mircea Hadambu, who died on February 15, 2008 from mushroom poisoning. In his house and at the same time in the house of his 78-year-old sister Melentina Bocanchea, dangerous and inexplicable phenomena began to occur.

It all started on Sunday evening, when Mircea woke up in his house from a terrible woman's cry “I am Satan! I have come to kill you! " From the words of the man, a voice was heard in the kitchen. At the same time, the invisible person did not appease: "You are mine, you are mine!" the unknown woman repeated it over and over. After that, an unknown force began to break the windows in the house, throw pots and plates, move all kinds of objects. When Mircea went out into the yard, he saw two of their bicycles rolling spontaneously one after the other. Subsequently, Mircea managed to record the flight of the boot on a video camera.

Similar events began to take place in the house of Melentina's older sister. The woman also heard a terrible female voice threatening “I will kill you all! I'll kill everyone! . According to both family members, it was a clear and distinct voice that either threatened or demanded that they go outside. The voice also said that he has nothing against other household members or other strangers, but he has “his own scores” with Mircea, since the man, according to the spirit, has “a serious sin in his life”.

Some aftermath of the Romanian poltergeist and possibly its focal face - Mircea Hadambu's son

Pretty soon, the violent spirit shifted from verbal threats to physical actions. At some point, the poltergeist began to show obvious aggression towards the grandson of Mircea and the son of the deceased Catalina. The poor boy started getting punches in the face. In a number of cases, an invisible force hit the teenager's head against the wall or snatched a cell phone from his hands, preventing him from calling or texting. In desperation, the family went to the police. Initially, law enforcement officials thought that it was the boy who was the main culprit of all the outrage. The police suggested that he faked the terrible voice by means of a mobile phone. However, after they spent several shifts near the "restless" house, their opinion changed. The police said that they personally heard noises that were "difficult to explain"and also witnessed several facts of paranormal activity - spontaneous movement of objects.

All members of this Romanian family unequivocally believe that the cause of all events is the restless spirit of Catalina, who returned “from the other world”. Other villagers also live in fear of the ghost's aggression. During the most aggressive antics of the poltergeist, fellow villagers gather on the streets, sometimes without closing their eyes. At the same time, "neither basil, nor holy water" were able to expel the "noisy spirit" from the house. A trip to the cemetery to the girl's grave with a special amulet also did not improve the situation. The whole village was waiting for 40 days after the death of Catalina, in the hope that her spirit would calm down and leave them alone. However, we could not find any additional information about whether the violent poltergeist in the village of Lilitsy stopped or not.

It is worth noting that the theme of the return of the dead almost immediately after the burial is the basis of folk tales about vampires. As studies by "Ufokom" show, these beliefs are still quite stable in different areas of the region of settlement of the Western Slavs. Within the framework of the “Belarusian Vampires” project, it was possible to establish that cases of classical vampirism recorded in many historical sources may have a close connection with the phenomena of poltergeist. Thus, the “spirit” of an evil deceased (vampire) often produces typical poltergeist episodes in the house of relatives, similar to those that took place in the village of Lilitsy. Relatively recently, in 2004, in the south-west of Romania, a resident of one of the villages was accused of vampirism. His corpse was exhumed, a heart was taken out of it, which was later burned, and the ashes were mixed with a special "potion"which the alleged victims drank.

It is noteworthy that similar events already took place in this region of Romania about 90 years ago. At the beginning of 1925, twelve-year-old Eleonora Zyugun from the village of Losna, South Bukovina (now Western Moldova) began to be persecuted by an "evil spirit" who called himself "Dracula" (from Romanians "drasu", "drac" - demon, damn). Near the girl, supernatural incidents constantly occurred: stones or potatoes fell out of nowhere, various objects flew up. By analogy with the boy from the village of Bakue, Eleanor suffered various forms of aggression from the spirit. An unknown force pushed, pinched, bit and beat the girl, threw her out of the bed, pulled her hair, stuck needles into her skin, and poured water on her shoes. The case became widely known among psycho-researchers, primarily due to the fact that the famous Harry Price was engaged in the phenomenon of Eleanor Zyugun. However, the terror of "Dracula" stopped on its own after a couple of years, with the onset of the girl's puberty.

In August 2016, Ufokom experts faced similar events, though not so bright. The group was approached by relatives of a woman who was attacked by invisibility. Later I managed to meet with her and talk. Everything happened in the village of Stankovo, Dzerzhinsky district, Minsk region. On August 4 of this year, her husband died, and after about 2 weeks she felt an unpleasant cadaveric smell in the house and heard a crackling sound, which then always accompanied abnormal incidents. Someone began to pull the blanket off the woman, and then hit. After that, steps began to be heard, by which (after all, they lived together for 48 years) she managed to recognize her late husband. Once again, he came to pinch the woman's ear and side. Since my husband was a Catholic, they decided to order an imshu (Catholic funeral service). It all ended exactly on the thirtieth day. It is interesting that, if according to the Orthodox tradition, the soul goes to heaven or hell for 40 days, then according to the Catholic tradition, this period is determined by exactly 30 days.
