The case described below occurred in the southwest of the PRC in 1975. Two servicemen of the Chinese army were guarding the entrance to the territory of the military unit located in the Qianrui area. At some point, the soldiers noticed a large luminous object moving in their direction. One of the servicemen rushed to the location of the unit to inform the authorities about what was happening, and the second remained to guard the post.
A few minutes later, one of the soldiers returned to the post with the chief of the guard and several soldiers for support. But it turned out that the aerial object disappeared, and with it the soldier who remained at the post. The unit was immediately alerted and a search operation was organized. The personnel combed the surrounding area, as well as buildings on the territory of the unit itself.
