The modern world is going through a global ideological crisis. A person's awareness of this situation requires close attention to the problem of comprehending the deep foundations of his existence and the meaning of his life. At the same time, the modern crisis in its logical completeness testifies, first of all, to the crisis of the human spirit. The growing lack of spirituality in modern society, in the words of V. Rasputin, is "the twilight of civilization" and requires urgent action on the part of the state and society as a whole - actions not only, economic and political, but mainly cultural.

At first glance, it seems that the way out of the impasse should be given by philosophy and science. However, at the turn of the 20th and 21st centuries, it became clear that humanity was also engulfed in an acute epistemological crisis, because our traditionally acquired knowledge does not allow us to take into account the fundamental connections between phenomena, much less to anticipate the consequences of their impact. It is the new paradigm of the theory of knowledge, and therefore of creativity, that gives hope for overcoming the current crisis.

Despite the existing global problems faced by modern mankind, a way out must be sought on the paths of a tireless scientific search for ways out of this situation, the intensification of scientific research of social processes - humanitarian research in general and cultural studies in particular. It is known that an increasing number of cultural scientists, philosophers, politicians and economists, etc., realistically assessing the situation, believe that a way out of the crisis state of the theory of knowledge is possible only on the basis of a search for new scientific paradigms of socio-cultural, humanistic (human) development, as each individual country and humanity as a whole. And the farthest advanced in this respect was the Russian scientific school.

THE ORIGINAL QUESTION OF PSYCHOLOGY AS A SCIENCE

We believe that the work of the psyche should be considered as an informational-algorithmic system that can be in different modes in the course of solving various problems in the life of an individual and societies, including the most significant tasks, which are cognitive and creative in nature.

It is clear that if there is no information in the psyche of a person, then there is no personality, and for psychology there is no object of study either. Information in the psyche is brought by the senses not only of the material body, but also the biofield.

If we talk about the information brought by feelings throughout the life of the individual, then in this flow one can single out information that can be called “primary”. "Primary" is the information that was not in the individual's psyche before the moment it first became available to the individual. All other information brought by the senses is a kind of duplicates, variations and combinations of the information that once entered the psyche of the individual as primary.

The receipt of primary information in the psyche is in essence similar to the supply of building materials to a construction site, since without the receipt of primary information, it is impossible to develop a worldview and outlook neither in terms of expanding horizons, nor in terms of increasing the detail of the subjective model of Life.

Without the receipt of new primary information, only the restructuring of the system of interconnections between the components of the worldview and worldview, and the modeling of the course of events and creativity, are possible, but only on the basis of information already present in the psyche.

The concept of primary information brings us to a question that can be called the original question of psychology as a science:

Is a person self-sufficient in the ability to sample information from the flow of events in Life, and primarily primary information, or is he not?

Or in another formulation:

What determines the ability of a person to select a "signal" carrying this or that information from the stream of events in Life?

The choice of one of the two answers to this question is essentially the choice of one of two classes of theories describing both the formation of the personal psyche, starting from the prenatal period of life, and the mental activity of an individual at all age periods.

Each of the two options for answering the question posed gives rise to two mutually exclusive opinions about a person's capabilities in this World:

  • If the penetration of information (including the primary one) into the psyche is completely conditioned by this psyche itself and the health of the organism, then the subject, within the limits of these limitations, objectively has the ability to go through Life, where and how he wants; and the difference between the fates and the realizing fates of the biographies of people is basically unmotivated random.
  • If the penetration of information (and primarily primary) into the psyche is due not only to the psyche and health of the organism, but also to objective processes that are not subject to the subject (which may include direct distribution of information from hierarchically encompassing levels of control in the Universe), then:

    • there are areas where one subject will be allowed to go in his personal development by providing him with the appropriate information and algorithmic support;
    • but another subject, with all his zeal, will not be able to enter the same areas, being deprived of the necessary informational-algorithmic support of activity; will not be able to enter them, at least, until, as a result of exclusively his mental activity, he does not change something in himself, after which he will be given access from the outside to the corresponding informational-algorithmic support of the path and activity;
    • and the difference between the fates and the biographies of people realizing the fates is of a meaningful nature, that is, it is motivated by certain goals of the hierarchically embracing systems of the Universe (what is called the Almighty in theology) and is only perceived as a supposedly “accidental” in the world outlook of an ill-informed individual who sets himself to the center of his ideological picture, all the more so - committed to atheism.

And such differences in the fate and possibilities of subjects in gaining access to certain information in the theories of cognition of the second class appear as objective, although in some ways they may be conditioned by the history of its previous subjectivism.

The choice of one of the two options for answering the question posed above is of a nature that is fundamental for understanding the entire mental activity of an individual and its relationship with Life, since all subjective mental activity begins only after the primary information has become the property of the subject's psyche.

It should also be clear that all people differ from each other in the informational originality of the psyche of each of them, which is also based on the originality of the primary information they receive; and the originality of information processing in the psyche and the processing results themselves are a consequence of the primary information received in the past, as well as the prerequisites for obtaining certain primary information in the future or for interrupting the flow of primary information for a more or less long time until the individual rethinks what he received earlier.

However, the question that was named above the initial question of psychology as a science is passed over in silence in the historically established traditions of Western and Eastern psychology and, accordingly, no direct answer is given to it.

Therefore, we will have to enter into its consideration ourselves. And the search for an answer to this question, in its essence, will represent an example-illustration of how the process of all cognition proceeds from the standpoint of the second class of theories. Those who believe that a person is self-sufficient in the selection of primary information from the Universe can familiarize themselves with this text, as with another epistemological model, or pass by, since we are not going to prove that “this is so and only so and it cannot be otherwise . This is a theoretical model in which the answer to the fundamental question of psychology is given: no, a person is not self-sufficient in the sample of primary information.

DIFFERENCE AS ABILITY

The ability of an individual to differentiate in his perception of Life of different quality - in the general case can be called "discrimination". Of course, the ability to discriminate is partly due to the biology of the human body and the development on this biological basis of his personal culture of feelings:

  • So all of us on a biological basis, according to the genetic programming of our abilities to perceive the world, distinguish colors within the spectrum, the pitch of sounds and much more.
  • And on the basis of this genetically programmed potential, the culture of society develops, which includes and reproduces in the continuity of generations the personal culture of the mental activity of each person, including the culture of feelings (culture of world perception).

As a result of the specific development of culture in the languages of the northern peoples, there are up to a hundred words, which denote the shades of the color of "white" snow, which are distinguished by their representatives. Unperceived differences cannot be fixed in the language as stable concepts, taken for granted by the overwhelming majority of representatives of the corresponding culture.

This also applies to the names of shades of colors, but also applies to other concepts that people operate on, for example: morality (the mores of one individual), morals (mores recognized in society as a kind of norm), conscience (involuntary love of good and truth; innate true, in varying degrees of development - Dahl's Dictionary), - although some people cannot clearly describe the differences between these phenomena in their psyche, but different concepts have been developed and fixed in society to denote various phenomena.

Different languages have developed different sets of sounds, on the basis of which speech is built, as a result of which, what in our perception of sounds, for example, is reduced to a certain general sound, denoted by the letter "X", for an Arab - these are several different sounds, denoted by letter in different letters. Therefore, different peoples, on the basis of their linguistic culture in foreign language speech, “hear” some sounds and do not hear others (this is how the Japanese need to learn to handle the sound “L”, which is not in their language and which they mostly replace with the sound “R”), which finds its expression in transliteration (translation of the sound of a word from one alphabet of one language to the alphabet of another language) of the same loan words in different languages.

The abundance of manifestations of the ability to discriminate, conditioned by biology and historically established culture, similar to those discussed in the previous two paragraphs, creates the feeling that the individual is really self-sufficient in the ability to select information from the stream of events.

Accordingly to this circumstance, the initial question of psychology as a science often does not arise, since the answer to it - in the sense of a person's self-sufficiency - seems “by itself” to be taken for granted until, as it seems, “undeniable” evidence and no alternative.

However, along with this kind of seemingly “guaranteed” selection of information from the stream of events, in life, almost everyone knows situations characterized by speech patterns such as: “does not see point blank”, “looks but does not see”, “listens but does not hears. Some of this kind of situations can really be explained by the fact that the attention of the individual, his consciousness as a whole, during the development of situations, were occupied by something else.

However, in many situations characterized by the above phraseological units, a subset of situations (statistically significant) can be distinguished, when attention and consciousness as a whole were just engaged in purposeful searches or expectations of exactly what they “didn’t see at close range”, what they wanted to hear, but "Did not hear", etc., despite the fact that the necessary information was objectively within the limits of their perception, conditioned both biologically and by culture, which fact is often confirmed by other participants in the same events who were able to perceive the same information.

Some of such situations can also be explained by a certain "paradoxical state" of the individual's psyche - its overstrain, some kind of enslavement, "obsession", the impact of some fields on him, etc., by subjective reasons, as a result of which the ability to perceive is lost information.

Although the psyche of people can really be in this kind of "paradoxical states", there are still a number of situations (at least statistically significant) that are inexplicable by "paradoxical states". In such situations, inexplicable from the standpoint of "paradoxical states", the individual's psyche was in his usual state, in which, on the basis of biological and culturally determined automatisms of world perception, in other situations he received information from the stream of events quite adequately in relation to the interests of the individual and the tasks he was solving; and in the very situation under consideration he received some other information, and his "blindness" and "deafness" bore some specifically selective character.

Those. there remains a certain, albeit small, number of situations that are inexplicable from the standpoint of the belief in the self-sufficiency of the individual in the matter of sampling information in the stream of events, that is, in the matter of differentiating the signal carrying information and the background against which the signal should be highlighted.

However, along with this kind of inexplicable situations, many people have memorable other situations, in the description of which the Russian language contains the word "illumination". In essence, they are alternative in relation to such situations, inexplicable in the aspect of information perception, which were discussed earlier.

As an example, we will give pictures from the Internet on the topic “find something in the picture”, which are based on the search for an image you know among other images similar to it. We will make this task difficult without telling you exactly what you need to find in the picture. Try to find this. Just please try! And behave honestly (don't cheat by running ahead).

You could repeatedly run through the pictures with your eyes, seeing some familiar images: on the first one - dirt, grass, stones, puddles; on the second - plates, pigeons, a cat, cars, houses, a basketball backboard, a playground, on the third - lamps, books, chairs, pictures.

And now let's concretize the image so that your psyche gets what you need to recognize: find a cat on each of these pictures, but before you start doing this, try to be very attentive to what you will feel at the moment when you find them (there are three pictures, so that you can compare and "collect statistics" of these sensations, if you need more - search for help). "Explanatory Dictionary of the Living Great Russian Language" by V. I. Dahl explains the meaning of the verb "to illuminate", which is the same root for this word:

As is clear from this explanation, the individual himself has no power over the illumination, but when the illumination occurs, a certain object (phenomenon) appears in his mind against the background of everything else, as if illuminated by a certain light. As a result, the world appears in the consciousness of an individual as a pair, defined in its composition: “this” (illuminated by a certain light) - “not this”, against the background of which “this” seemed to be highlighted.

We would like to note that all these tests "for attentiveness" are inherently not attention-grabbing, since attention, by its very nature, is usually held on objects of attention that have come into the field of attention, voluntarily or involuntarily, and when examining a picture of objects that need to, in the field of attention not, they are not yet isolated from the background by the psyche.

In fact, at this moment in the psyche there is a comparison of the picture (scanning and comparison) with the images already known to the psyche and not attentiveness is checked, but the speed of comparing images. At the moment when the comparison was successful, an insight occurs and the picture appears as a pair "this" - "not this": a cat is not a cat.

HOW DO THE THEOLOGISTS SEE THIS?

The Qur'an says directly about the source of insights and their conditioning both by factors beyond the control of man and by his own subjectivism:

If we translate this from theological language into the language of a fairly general control theory, then control from the enveloping levels in one of its aspects is an expedient distribution among subjects and objects in the Universe of information and algorithmic support corresponding to the goals of the encompassing levels of control, up to the highest encompassing level of control The universe as a whole.

Accordingly, the primary information enters the human psyche only as a result of insights by Differentiation as the ability to separate information from the stream of events.

One of the most important features of this process of receiving primary information, which determines its targeting, is the dependence on the informational and algorithmic qualities of the individual.

  • First, on his system of relations to various phenomena of the Universe (that is, morality), on which the choice of the line of behavior depends.
  • Secondly, from the vector of goals of the individual and the depth of his identity with the vectors of goals of the encompassing systems, if we talk about the human species, then we are talking about vital interests and intentions for the future.
  • Third, from the vector of the state of the individual, that is, from his actual activity.
  • Fourthly, it depends on the genetically determined potential (which was discussed above), which sets at least the possible that an individual can achieve, and the maximum possible when the potential is fully developed, which in the terminology of the theory of probability is indicated by the most optimal probability of realization process "individual" with its current quality (mystics call this fate).

Simply put, the primary information that enters the psyche in insights depends on the qualities, intentions, vital interests, actual activity and on the promising possible states of the individual that carries this psyche.

Moreover, this applies not only to primary, but in some cases information that is not primary, when it is repeatedly given in the illumination of Discrimination (when everything appears as "this", "not this") as a hint-hint, although in other situations it is the same information can pass by the perception indiscernible against the background of everything else, or it is discernible, but attention ignores the fact of its perception by the senses.

At first superficial glance, if the initial question of psychology as a science does not arise in the consciousness of the individual, then it seems to him that the ability to Discriminate not subject to the individual does not play a special role in life, since insights by Discrimination are rare in adult life.

However, this is not the case: insights are key events throughout the life of people, opening or closing opportunities for them.

And depending on the organization of the psyche of people, their morality (as a system that determines the line of behavior) - such moments of insight lead individuals either to new stages in their development, or to a life catastrophe - according to the morally conditioned (possibly unconscious) choice of everyone: although the fact itself making a choice may also not be realized due to the fact that the role of morality and emotions in the mental activity of an individual is also not realized by most people.

TOP IS BETTER VISIBLE

Providing certain information with predictable consequences is one of the types of management. And, accordingly, such an understanding of the source of insight by Discrimination and the role of Discrimination as an ability in the life of an individual makes understandable also another Quranic message - sura 7:

That is, if we accept this Quranic message as true, then the saying:

- appears as superficial: in the overwhelming majority of cases, people, accepting for themselves moral standards leading to the realization of goals that are antagonistic to the encompassing control systems, deprive themselves of the ability to think adequately. And in accordance with their moral standards, they select information from the flow of life events within the limits of biological and cultural conditioning, and in accordance with them, from hierarchically higher levels of management, due to the lack of self-sufficiency of a person in the sample of primary information, certain information is given in Discrimination, or refuses to provide such.

Since from the level of the encompassing system, many possible consequences can be foreseen, as a result of which no one and nothing can go beyond the hierarchically highest encompassing control.

Accordingly, if we consider the individual as an information-algorithmic system, then from the encompassing level, information is given into the Discrimination, which allows the individual, given the morality (informational-algorithmic support in general and morality as its basis), which he has developed, to enter the situation, in which he could rethink his moral standards and worldview so that they become more adequate to life.

But if an individual persists in the inconsistency of morality with the circumstances of his life (in other words, he behaves incorrectly or, theologically, unrighteously), then the same information (or some other additional information given to him in Discrimination) leads him to aggravate his problems up to to death, if he exhausts the possibility of making mistakes and behaving incorrectly in relation to the direction of the flow of the Universe and all interconnected systems in it with their objective laws affecting the individual.

If from the encompassing levels of management there followed a refusal to provide in insights by the Differentiation of primary information and hints-clues about life, then this actually turns every individual into a humanoid automaton, which is not able to go out in interaction with Life beyond the multitude of variations of combinatorics of that informational-algorithmic support, which is already present in his psyche.

Actually, this is how the permissiveness of the "demonic" mentality, the leitmotif of behavior of which is the principle of "what I want, I turn around" (in no way correlating with what is happening around), is restrained and taken to dead-end and suicidal paths for them. As a result, with all their claims to the uncontrollability and accountability of actions, they are not free, just as those who prefer instinctive, reflexive and stereotypical behavioral algorithms are not free, although the limitations of this kind of "bigwigs" (in comparison with others) is due to another factor beyond their control the lack of self-sufficiency of the individual in the sample of primary information and the lack of power over Discrimination.

Accordingly, if an individual has long forgotten when the last illumination of Discrimination took place in his life, this is a good reason to think about the meaning of his own life, his morality and ethics …

  • In principle, such an existence in the mode of deprivation by Discrimination (in relation to the primary information for the psyche, and not in general in relation to the distinction between "this" and "not this"), if the individual does not identify and purposefully eliminate errors in his morality and organization of the psyche fraught with catastrophe, which can break out unpredictably due to the inadequacy of the life of the constantly aging informational-algorithmic support of the individual's activity.
  • In contrast, early insight by Discrimination allows individuals and societies to identify and resolve their problems in a timely manner, and thereby avoid disasters and other troubles. Accordingly, in a number of cases the Arabic word "al-Furqan" is translated into other languages as "Salvation", and in other cases as "Discrimination". The Qur'an addresses the issue of Differentiation in various aspects of this phenomenon repeatedly (Surah 2:50 (53), 3: 2 (4), 8:29, 21:49 (48), 25: 1, in particular), although not goes into explaining its role in the life of individuals and societies: the one who is able to think, is able and understand all this himself, even on the basis of theological terminology, even though on the basis of the terminological apparatus, a general theory of management is sufficient.

Theories of cognition, in which the answer to the main question of psychology is the answer: "a person is self-sufficient in the selection of primary information," - in general, they substantiate the principle of "what I want, I do it", making it the highest possible principle of interaction between the individual and the Universe, in which limitations arise only from the characteristics of the individual himself: his personal qualities, genetics, purposefulness.

And therefore, such theories of knowledge are inherently the foundation for fascist and Nazi political ideologies and are the rationale for the crowd-"elite" structure of society, in which those who have learned to rise above their instincts, reflexes and habits and can "pump" their personal and genetic parameters (oh, delving into the genetic code of our species in order to select a "superman" is desired by many "tycoons"), "rule" this "cattle" as they see fit, choosing the most important information from the stream of life and transferring the skills of work through the initiation systems with primary information (in the view of their psychological schools). That is why the question, which was named above the original question of psychology as a science, is passed over in silence in the historically established traditions of psychology of the West and the East and, accordingly,no direct answer is given.

However, the practice of life shows the inconsistency of this kind of theories, since in many historical examples various "demonic" personalities (in the above sense - living according to the principle "I can do whatever I want") faced insurmountable life circumstances that limited their ability to influence processes of the Universe, up to unexpected and often absurd deaths, suppressing their unrighteous behavior.

If you want to develop such social systems, then develop theories that answer the main question of psychology in the sense that “a person is self-sufficient in the selection of primary information,” but be prepared for the consequences of using these models of cognition and behavior.

The same applies to the "half-hearted" models of cognition, which postulate eternal uncertainty in relations with the control systems that encompass them. These people were the last who began to perceive the biosphere as something to be reckoned with, while the "wild" tribes of the aborigines, through ideological ideas about the same Gaia, Mother Earth, Gaia developed subcultures of maintaining balance with the biosphere, being more practical and successful in building a harmonious relationship with nature. Only when it was no longer possible to deny or say “we do not know how it really is” did such “half-hearted” people recognize with all certainty the need to build relationships with the biosphere.

If the truth of the Qur'anic message about the source, about the objective and subjective conditionality of distinction is rejected, then insights in people's lives appear inexplicable and meaningless, and the initial question of psychology as a science remains unanswered, since the statement that every individual is initially self-sufficient in all situations in the question fetching information from the stream of events is just a hypothesis that is not really supported by anything in life.

And as the Quran says about it:

- In other words, everything is in full accordance with the principle declared by science "practice is the criterion of truth", which refutes the vitally untenable hypotheses and assumptions.

Nevertheless, regardless of the subjective opinions about the truth or falsity of the above Quranic message 8:29, the primary information in the human psyche comes only in the insights of Discrimination.

And in this regard, one should pay attention to the fact that in the Qur'an in verse 8:29 the answer to the original question of psychology as a science has already been given. And this happened more than 1,300 years before people in public discussions on psychology thought to formulate this initial question.

It is also useful to think about the objective and subjective reasons for this anticipation, and not to blame this fact on a blind and meaningless "case" or to try to convince that the statement of the initial question of psychology as a science is allegedly vitally untenable and therefore does not have the significance of the Qur'anic response anticipating it.

PRINCIPAL STAGES OF PROCESSING OF PRIMARY INFORMATION IN THE PSYCHE OF THE INDIVIDUAL

The next question is what happens after the primary information enters the psyche of the individual in the insight of Discrimination?

As already noted, attention, like will, is also a peculiar phenomenon inherent in the level of consciousness in the psyche of an individual. Moreover, it should be noted that insight by Discrimination is one phenomenon, and attention is another phenomenon. We hope you felt it yourself when we looked at the "find a cat" example. Likewise, from the text of the Qur'an, discrimination and attention appear as different phenomena. In particular, Sura 7 reports on the isolation of attention as a phenomenon in the psyche:

Accordingly, in the general case of consideration - really at the moment of illumination by the Discrimination, attention and consciousness as a whole can be occupied with something else, for what reason the moment of illumination by the Distinction, manifested in consciousness, can pass by attention. As a result, the Discrimination given to it can leave the current stream of consciousness and be forgotten at the level of consciousness, although nothing is forgotten at the unconscious levels of the psyche: neither the stream of feelings, nor the stream of thinking of both levels of the psyche, nor the sequence of insights by Discrimination.

At the same time, if, bypassing the attention given to Discrimination, it goes into the unconscious levels of the psyche, then the kaleidoscopic nature of the worldview grows, and this (due to inadequate actions based on the ideological kaleidoscope) poses a danger both for the individual himself and for others and for descendants.

Nevertheless, everything that is forgotten for consciousness, with the help of special psychophysiological practices and the improvement of the personal culture of mental activity, can be brought to the level of consciousness and rethought, and this will result in a transition to a different quality of life - better, if the results of rethinking are more adequate Life.

However, it is still better if the insight by Discrimination does not pass by the attention of the individual. The effective mental activity of an individual should be characterized by precisely this - special attention to the insights of Discrimination. If the Discrimination given in picks up attention, then what is revealed in the illumination in the overwhelming majority of cases remains accessible to the memory of consciousness. And this circumstance leaves for some time (sometimes very long) open the possibility, by volitional order, to give oneself a command: To comprehend what is given in the illumination of Discrimination.

Depending on the confluence of circumstances and the attitude of the individual to the situation - this can be done immediately after the inspiration of the Discrimination, but if this turns out to be impossible due to the fact that circumstances require interaction with them, then it is imperative to return to this issue as soon as possible, the sooner - the better, because otherwise the kaleidoscopic nature of the worldview and world outlook will grow, and the individual will not be ready for action in some upcoming situations.

The development of the world outlook and understanding of the world occurs in the process of comprehending and rethinking the given into Discrimination. Even if the initial version of understanding turns out to be somewhat erroneous, then later the individual will come to a situation that will require rethinking the previously developed understanding. And if he does not persist in his adherence to the wrong, then his worldview and worldview will become adequate to the circumstances of his life and the needs of his activities in the process of personal development.

As noted:

The most significant function of the worldview in the psyche of an individual is that the worldview is a means of modeling the course of events in life in a variety of options at a pace that is ahead of the real course of events, which makes it possible to identify in advance unacceptable options for a possible future, choose acceptable ones and develop some sense of the best line of behavior of an individual in life.

Accordingly, in the religious understanding of Life, illumination by Discrimination is given not in order to amuse the idle curiosity of the individual with these or those curiosities; entertain him with something; drive him into awe by showing him some nightmares, etc.

Illumination by Discrimination is given so that an individual can fulfill his mission in Providence, which the individual himself must choose and accept as the meaning of his life, realize and understand, and on this basis prepare himself for its successful implementation; or in order for him to die, if he, not wanting to fulfill even the minimum offered to him in fate, has exhausted the possibilities of making mistakes.

In the atheistic worldview, insights by Differentiation are inexplicable, the highest inclusive level of control seems to be fiction, but nevertheless, in this case, the Differentiation acquired by the individual in insight is for him the information basis for developing the meaning of his life, ways and means of translating this meaning into life.

Those. the worldview that has changed as a result of comprehending and rethinking what is given in the illumination of Discrimination should become the basis for certain consciously determined volitional actions of a person.
