A researcher from the University of California has refuted the version of a Canadian schoolboy regarding his discovery of the "lost city" of the ancient Maya. According to the archaeologist, the photographs show a hemp field and there are no ruins or preserved buildings of an ancient civilization.
Recall that 15-year-old schoolboy William Gaduri spoke to the scientists of the Canadian Space Agency with his theory. The boy said that he compared the map of the starry sky, actively used by the Mayans, as well as a map showing the regions most populated by this tribe. After analyzing these data, he came to the conclusion that according to specific coordinates in Yucatan there should be a city of the ancient Mayans that has not been discovered until today.
It is interesting that in Canada they accepted this theory with enthusiasm and were even going to send an expedition into the jungle to search for the lost city. However, all these plans were canceled out by archaeologist Jeffrey Braswell. He said that the student applied an anti-scientific approach, and also said that there is no city in the specified coordinates, and a hemp field is located along them. The fact is that the archaeologist and his graduate students have often visited this region and he really knows that there was no ancient city there.
