According to researchers, alien beings do not use electromagnetic waves for communication, but beams of one of the types of elementary particles called neutrinos. Thus, scientists say, it is possible to explain the futility of attempts by earthlings to capture an alien signal using photons, which lasted for almost 50 years.

The hypothesis about the possibility of such a method of communication with extraterrestrial civilizations was put forward by physicists from the University of Hawaii. “We do not hear the voices of extraterrestrial civilizations, despite many years of listening to the interstellar radio broadcast, only because the“brothers in mind”use not electromagnetic waves to transmit information, as we do, but beams of one of the types of elementary particles - neutrinos”, - in the article “Galactic Neutrino Communication”hosted in the Cornell University Electronic Library.

Until now, all attempts to receive an alien signal have been based on the fact that information should be transmitted using photons in the radio or optical range. “We believe that it would be more appropriate to look for a possible signal that is transmitted by neutrinos,” says scientist John Lernd.

"Neutrino is a type of elementary particles with an extremely low mass and incredibly high penetrating power," Aleksandr Sinev, an assistant at the Department of Physics at Bauman University, explained to the VZGLYAD newspaper.

According to him, the mass of neutrinos is important for explaining the phenomenon of hidden mass in cosmology, since, despite its smallness, the concentration of neutrinos in the Universe is quite high. At the same time, according to the expert, little is known to the world science about the possibility of transmitting information with the help of these particles.

American researchers believe that the high penetrating power of neutrinos is the main explanation that UFOs can use these particles for communication. Electromagnetic waves can be trapped or scattered by interstellar gas and dust, and near the center of the galaxy, where their concentration is very high, the use of photons for communication can become simply impossible. At the same time, the galaxy is practically "transparent" for neutrinos.

The authors of the article suggest that extraterrestrial civilizations can use neutrinos to communicate with energies higher than those of similar particles emitted by stars. This will make it possible to virtually completely eliminate interference - high-energy neutrinos are quite rare, and the signal transmitted with their help will not be as susceptible to noise as in the electromagnetic spectrum.

Note that searches for extraterrestrial civilizations by listening to interstellar radio broadcasts in the world have been conducted since the 1960s. However, so far, attempts to capture the extraterrestrial signal have not been crowned with success. But hundreds of cases have been documented when ordinary people in one way or another crossed paths with aliens.

Last week, the UK Department of Security began publishing documents related to the existence of UFOs. The ministry was forced to take this step by citizens, who literally bombard the ministry with letters about the right to access classified data under the law on freedom of information. It is expected that the entire archive of "classified materials" will be posted on the Web over the next four years.

However, representatives of the department were quick to assure the public that the documents did not contain genuine evidence of contacts with aliens, MIGnews reports.
