Ghostbusters have plenty of work to do in the capital of Karelia

The head of the ethnology sector, Konstantin Loginov, has been collecting eyewitness accounts of paranormal phenomena in Karelia and beyond for more than two decades. Its archive contains stories about ghosts, ghosts, flying saucers and other subject-objects, the existence of which each of us is free to admit or deny. By the way, in his youth, Loginov himself was a skeptic, but over the years he changed his mind, including thanks to personal experience. Kuzmich, for example, claims that, out of stupidity, he almost came into contact with a UFO and that he saw the skull of the so-called Reed Man with his own eyes (almost nothing is known about this little mysterious creature).

And what frightening miracles did the citizens of Petrozavodsk tell him about?

Death of a sorcerer

This story was told to Konstantin Kuzmich by his friend. A sorcerer died in a hospital in Petrozavodsk ten years ago. A native of one of the villages, who lived most of his life in the Karelian capital with his family, during his lifetime he had to deal with evil spirits, which equally helped him in healing and in the induction of damage. Conspiracies, excerpts from the Book of Black Magic and other "recipes" the sorcerer wrote down in his notebook.

How his relatives lived side by side with a person who regularly communicated with the devils, history is silent. But the death of the sorcerer turned into a real nightmare for them.

The sorcerer, or rather something that takes his appearance, suddenly began to appear to him in the evenings. At the same time, the ghost behaved extremely restlessly: rushing around the house, tearing his hair, waving his hands, as if trying to explain something. Just what?

Promotional video:

“If his family asked him to dream about them and tell them in a dream what he wants, the sorcerer would stop appearing to them, he would say why he comes every night and makes him afraid,” the scientist is sure. “But they didn't.

The ghost continued to terrorize the family until it occurred to someone that the sorcerer needed his notebook, which should have been disposed of. Only in this case the deceased would finally find peace and stop frightening relatives. After breaking everything in the house, they finally found her among the toys of the sorcerer's grandson. Since, as Konstantin Kuzmich says, it is useless to burn the notebook (the fire will throw it back out), and it does not sink in water (it will certainly float up somewhere), they decided to bury the notebook on the magician's grave. No sooner said than done.

Slightly stirring up the earth, they threw the notebook in there and began to bury it, when suddenly there was a loud laughter, forcing the relatives to throw the shovels and rush home … However, since then, the sorcerer no longer bothers the family.

Ghost Dog on Zarek

Another friend of K. Loginov swears that she saw a ghost with her own eyes. It was midnight at Epiphany. The woman was in a hurry to go home and decided to go through the cemetery at the Cathedral of the Exaltation of the Cross, which is on Zarek: albeit scary, but faster. But as soon as she set foot on the path, a dog blocked her path.

She had never seen anyone like her before. The dog was black, of unprecedented size (the size of a calf), but the most amazing thing was the burning eyes. The woman was dumbfounded. However, it was not so much this mysterious creature that frightened her, but the feeling from nowhere that the dog would not let her go any further, and that something bad was happening in the cemetery. Realizing that it was better not to get involved with all this, she turned around and rushed back.

By the way, if you believe Kuzmich, residents of nearby pieces of wood, that across the road (next to the DOSAAF building), they have to face paranormal phenomena almost every day. And for good reason. According to the scientist, these houses are built on bones, in fact, on the territory of the same cemetery.

“That’s why I’ve heard a lot from the locals,” he continues. - The most common story is that someone regularly comes to them at night and demands that they move out from there. This can happen in a house built on a sorcerer's grave or at the site of a spell. Or if a person dies not at the age that the Almighty let him go, but much earlier. For example, he was destined to live 90 years, and at 18 he committed suicide. And while the term allotted to him has not expired, he can appear to the tenants: cry, pitying himself, or pester them. It can be different.

Dormitory ghosts

Residents of a hostel of one of the educational institutions of Petrozavodsk told the scientist that they have two ghosts at once. Both are connected with the tragedies that happened here in different years.

At the beginning of the new century, a young man who lived here took his own life in one of the rooms.

“Since then,” says Konstantin Kuzmich, “from time to time at night, residents from different floors (but most often this happens in the same room) hear a whisper:“Pray for me”. It has been verified that if you go to church the next morning and light a candle, the whispering will stop for a couple of weeks, after which everything repeats.

The second ghost, according to stories, lives in the basement of the hostel, where a girl was raped ten years ago. Unable to find the strength to recover from what had happened, she committed suicide. It is believed that if you go down to the basement on one of the autumn or winter days, you can meet her.

- And where in the city or its environs can you still face the inexplicable? - we ask Kuzmich. - They say, for example, that a ghost also lives in the Wedding Palace …

- I don’t know about the palace, but on the Devil’s chair, for example, sorcerers from all over Russia gathered at least twice, they had a congress there. And it is no coincidence, probably. There is some kind of special energy, something happens to the psyche. If, for example, it is not typical for a person in ordinary life to swear, he may suddenly begin to use foul language … In general, when you write about all this, many, after reading, will consider such stories to be nonsense. However, I myself had never believed in anything like that before …
