Astronomers continue to catch "fast radio pulses" - mysterious signals from outside our galaxy
Six billion light-years away from the object from which the signal was recently captured by the dishes of the Australian Square Kilometer Array Pathfinder telescope. The signal comes from a location in the sky located in the constellation Leo.
Three billion light-years to 9 objects, pulses from which were picked up by several radio telescopes, including a giant antenna array in New Mexico and a saucer in Puerto Rico. Someone was signaling from the center of a dwarf and very distant spiral galaxy visible from Earth in the constellation Auriga.
From an unimaginable distance came a signal that was picked up by the Australian Parkes Telescope in Australia on February 15, 2015. He became the 22nd in a row of its kind. It received the designation FRB 150215. It was not possible to determine where the radiation source was. But scientists have assured that this impulse has demonstrated fantastic "penetrating power". Before it reached Earth, it pierced our entire Milky Way - even those areas that prevent the spread of radiation.

Who's honking? What if it shoots? No answers - just guesswork. Quite strange for serious scientists.
"Fast Radio Bursts" (FRB) - this is the name of these signals of unknown nature, coming from the depths of the Universe. The duration of each is exactly 5 milliseconds. The range is very narrow. The power is colossal. It is greater than the energy that our Sun emits for thousands, if not hundreds of thousands of years.
For the first time and purely by accident, the astronomer Duncan Lorimer from the University of West Virginia came across FRB in 2007. Found it among the records of observations for 2001. For 10 years now astrophysicists have been catching signals purposefully and racking their brains trying to understand their nature.

At one time it was assumed that black holes become the sources of "fast radio pulses" - either by themselves or in the process of interaction with neutron stars. But the nature and parameters of the incoming radiation do not correspond to what is known about the behavior of such objects.
There are no candidates for sources of "fast radio pulses" among pulsars or quasars - even any anomalous ones. Science generally does not know any objects capable of sending these same FRBs.
Complete bewilderment about the nature of the phenomenon and brought scientists to the point that they began to sin on aliens. They began to quite seriously assume that "fast radio pulses" are somehow connected with the activities of advanced extraterrestrial civilizations.
There was even a completely scientific hypothesis. Like, through FRB, brothers in mind move their starships.
The hypothesis was formulated by researchers from the Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics, led by Avi Loeb. It was published in the Astrophysical Journal Letters.
The bottom line: representatives of a highly developed civilization built a transmitter about the size of our Earth - something like the "Death Star" from "Star Wars", which is energized by some star. Like the episode "The Force Awakens".
However, having accumulated energy, aliens - I want to believe - do not destroy the planets, but use it for peaceful purposes.
According to astrophysicists, this use may look something like this: with short but powerful pulses, brothers in mind transmit energy to their starships, which are equipped with appropriate receivers. Those receive and rush. Maybe even in our direction.

The power of the feeding transmitter is enormous - since it is capable of "hitting" for billions of light years. This one is quite capable of blowing up an entire planet nearby. Who knows, suddenly terrestrial radio telescopes catch some kind of reflections of such intergalactic-scale star wars. But what do we care about what's going on billions of light years from Earth?
But who can guarantee that aliens aren't waging endless star wars? It's good that it's not in our galaxy
