UFOs or northern lights - what did Krasnoyarsk residents observe last night?
Alexandra Guseva (photo author) is a young mother. That is why the girl almost did not sleep last night - the youngest daughter is teething, she was capricious and cried. At half past one, when the baby still fell asleep, Sasha went to the window and gasped! The girl had never seen such a thing in her life, even when she lived in the north.
- We live in the Sverdlovsk region on Sayanskaya street, in a skyscraper on the ninth floor, - says Alexandra. - From our window you can see the whole city. About half past one in the night, huge high luminous columns appeared in the sky, they became brighter and brighter, and then generally played with colors: green, pink. There was such beauty all over the sky! We watched this strange phenomenon for about half an hour. And then the colors began to fade, and everything disappeared. The beauty is unreal! I wish I could see this at least once!
Although, as Alexandra admitted, enthusiastic impressions appeared only at the end of this unusual play of light in the sky. According to the girl, at first it was very scary, and she already thought that aliens had arrived in our city!
But Nina Krayushkina, a physics teacher with 26 years of experience, is sure: there is no mysticism or extraterrestrial nature in this phenomenon.
- There is a powerful flow of heat from the city, - says Nina Viktorovna. - Warm air, as we know, rises. And in these convection currents, it is commonplace that any light (from street lamps, floodlights in a stadium, etc.) can be refracted in completely different ways and produce different effects. Most likely, it was this play of light that Alexandra saw. In any case, there is no need to be afraid of this, everything is quite understandable.
