Paleontologists Victor Pacheco and Martin Fried decided to explore one of the many caves during their vacation in Big Bant Caitri (Texas, USA).
There they found the remains of an incomprehensible creature whose height was 2.5 m and weight - 300 kg. There was only one eye socket in the skull, located exactly in the middle of the forehead. The age of the find is about 10 thousand years. Scientists have recreated the appearance of an amazing creature from the skeleton. The resulting image shocked scientists around the world, because it was 100% consistent with the description of the Cyclops. But until that day it was believed that the Cyclops were just characters in myths and legends.
The authors of the find more than once had to regret that curiosity brought them into that ill-fated cave, because the news of their discovery was at first taken as a stupid joke. Only after a careful examination of the bones and skull did the experts recognize that they undoubtedly belonged to the Cyclops. But how did the creature from Greek mythology end up in Texas? Well, either the Greeks even before our era managed to visit America, or the Cyclops lived both overseas and in Europe. Recall: Homer portrayed the Cyclops (they were also called Cyclops) as cruel giants and pointed out that they live in caves, breeding cattle.
The heroes of Greek myths, of course, had a long way to get to the American Cyclops, but they could visit the Rho-dop mountains in neighboring Bulgaria without much trouble. If the cyclops turned out to be a completely real creature, then why not assume that the Minotaur - half-bull-half-man - also once trampled on this land?
Mysterious Skull
And here is a new discovery that gives rise to just such assumptions.
On May 21, 2001, a mysterious skull was discovered in the Rhodope Mountains, which the Bulgarian media soon dubbed "the mystical skull of the Minotaur."

The skull, which has no relation to any of the known species, was immediately examined by scientists. First, they used the radiocarbon method to determine his age and DNA analysis. Apparently, the obtained data were so intriguing that they were classified … But in the Internet era it is very difficult to hide information about such a find, messages about it first appeared on the Internet, and then in a number of print media.
Unfortunately, data on the age of the skull have not yet been disclosed, but if we take into account that only its front part was discovered, carefully cut down by someone in time immemorial, the mysterious creature clearly fell from the hand of man. Maybe the unknown monster hunter was Theseus, the legendary Athenian king who defeated the Minotaur?
Clothe the skull with flesh, imagine the eyes full of blood, and you have a rather creepy creature, reminiscent of a hybrid of a man and a bull. True, the victory over this particular monster does not attract myth: it is assumed that the creature was small in stature. However, it is possible that the skull did not belong to an adult. It should be borne in mind that we know nothing about the fighting qualities of the monster. Maybe it had the ability to telepathically affect a person, spit with poison or wielded under cover of darkness, attacking from an ambush?
Of course, there are less shocking hypotheses, for example, some scientists believe that this is the skull of a prehistoric animal not yet known to science.
Remnants of the aliens?
In 1995, in South America, archaeologists also discovered a strange skull of an unusual elongated shape, which is now kept in the Peruvian Museum of Peracas. Scientists suggest that it is at least 10 thousand years old. It is considered by many to be undeniable proof of aliens visiting Earth.
Some researchers tend to think that the cause of this skull shape is a genetic mutation, but the most popular hypothesis is that the lengthening is artificial. For some, perhaps, religious reasons, in this area of the planet, the ancient people practiced changing the shape of the skull, for which they tightly bandaged the head of a newborn child, achieving sometimes amazing results. Similar specimens are found among the skulls of the Incas. So, most likely, no long-headed aliens came to us.
But the so-called Taung baby skull, discovered in 1924 in northwestern South Africa, resembles a pumpkin in shape. For many years it was believed that it belonged to an ape-like creature at the age of three. However, relatively recently, Lee Berger and Ron Clark from the University of the Witwatersrand (South Africa) suggested that the skull belonged not to an earthly creature, but to a humanoid that died when falling on sharp stones.
Taung's baby skull
It is worth mentioning the skull of the so-called star boy, discovered in Mexico in the 1920s, but only recently fell into the hands of scientists. It clearly belonged to a child, but rather strange. For example, it is believed that it could contain three frontal lobes of the brain, and not two, as in ordinary people. Velikovah for a child and a brain volume of 1600 cm3 (in an adult on average -1400 cm3). The shape and position of the eye sockets are also unusual.
If we talk about anomalous finds, then one cannot but recall the famous crystal skulls. Found in South America and other parts of the world, they still pose an insoluble mystery to scientists. For what purposes were these unique products intended? How could they be made?
Anomalies around us
Do not forget that the history of civilization on Earth knows many examples of various anomalous curiosities. As the facts prove, humanity has little knowledge about the history of planet Earth and about life on it. Recently, researchers do not refute, as before, but prove that many creatures lived on Earth, which are mentioned in myths and legends. So, more than once they found evidence of the existence of giants, cyclops, toms, dragons. Most likely, man became the reason for the disappearance of these amazing creatures. Perhaps one day the ancestor of modern man will look with interest at the skeletons of animals still existing next to us.
