Researchers of various paranormal phenomena have long noticed that for some unknown reason, as if someone (or something) is keeping some people from terrible troubles. One of the researchers of this phenomenon, strange from the point of view of logic, American sociologist James Staunton analyzed hundreds of railway accidents that occurred in the last century and came to an amazing conclusion. It turns out that no more than sixty percent of the required number of passengers traveled on the trains that subsequently crashed. Mathematician Valery Isakov came to practically the same conclusion, however, he no longer analyzed railway accidents, but plane crashes. The famous American writer Stephen King, who simply adored all sorts of mystical riddles, pushed him into this study. However, researchers of this phenomenon do not cease to be confused by the fact that both children and believers often die in various disasters.
