A piece of metal that has fallen from the sky looks like a trash can or a water tank from afar. But from the corrugated surface of the inverted dome, one can assume that this item is not for domestic needs.
The mysterious alien from space surprises with its volumes: almost two meters in diameter and one and a half meters in height. At the same time, as experts say, it is light enough for this size. The metal object weighs approximately three hundred kilograms. A semi-ring is attached to the inside of the dome. Probably, the police assume it was a balloon that shattered in two in the air.
“You see, everything is open here, everything is hollow inside, there is no danger,” the policeman shows. An unidentified flying object was discovered by foresters four kilometers from the small village of Otradnenskoe. “We thought: either a construction trailer or a flying saucer. We drove closer, we look - an earthly object. They wanted to adapt it to the water, and then decided to call the Ministry of Emergency Situations, suddenly there was radiation on it,”says Yury Leshchinsky, an employee of the local forestry enterprise, about the find.
Before loading the find into a truck, the foresters took a few souvenir photos on their mobile phones. The whole operation took 10 minutes. What exactly came from the sky is still unknown. The local civil defense and emergency situations believe that this may be a fragment of the Meridian satellite, the launch of which at the end of December ended in failure. Then the fragments were collected throughout the Novosibirsk region. A total of 13 pieces were found.
Today's find has already been tested for radioactivity. The background is normal. The local Emergencies Ministry believes that this may be a fragment of a fuel tank. Photos of the found object have already been sent to Roskosmos. But they have already stated that it has nothing to do with the rocket and space industry.
“According to preliminary estimates, the found object has nothing to do with rocket and space technology. The final conclusion can be made after the specialists have carried out a detailed study of the subject,”says the reply from Roscosmos.
Now a metal pipe, presumably made of titanium, lies under the windows of the district police department. “We were asked to take it for storage. We brought him here. And now we will wait for them to come for him, if they need him,”said Sergei Sulein, senior district police officer of the Kuibyshevskiy ROVD of the Novosibirsk region. In the meantime, the metal fragment has become a new attraction.
