From early childhood, the boy's father, Nong Youhui, was worried that his son's eyes were not black, like most Chinese, but green-yellow, like cats. Sometimes, Nong's eyes appear blue. But the most interesting thing is that the boy's eyes glow in the dark like a cat's.
The father took his son to the clinic, where doctors comprehensively investigated this unique case. It turned out that Nong Youhui can read in almost complete darkness. And in the light, his vision is the same as that of other people.
Doctors attribute this phenomenon to a rare congenital pathology called leukoderma. One of the manifestations of this disease is the lack of protective pigment in the retina, which increases sensitivity to light.
“The doctors told me that over time, the child’s eyes will turn black, like most Chinese people. But this did not happen,”the child's father complains.
