On April 27, 2013, a pensioner Lyudmila Petrovna turned to the Irkutsk-Kosmopoisk group, almost with tears in her eyes - a poltergeist has been raging in her apartment for about two weeks now. As it was found out, unexplained phenomena began in her apartment around April 11-12, 2013 with the unexpected and repeated appearance of many beetles on her head, in her hair. The latest episodes with the movement of objects were already personally recorded by the experts of Cosmopoisk on Monday 29 April.
It was possible to find out that the active phase of the poltergeist began on Monday April 22nd and, apparently, continues to the present moment. The beginning of the main events was traditionally preceded by the "phase of precursors", which was expressed in a series of breakdowns: the refrigerator broke down, the kettle burned out, the alarm clock broke. Also a pensioner, and later by researchers, it was noticed that all anomalous incidents occur only when her 8-year-old granddaughter Katya is in the apartment. Most of the episodes take place in the morning, from about 8:00 to 13:00.
Initially, the woman began to look for a rational explanation, and she suspected her granddaughter Katya of this "prank". But when, a week later, on April 22, active movements and throwing of objects began in the apartment, it became obvious to Lyudmila Petrovna that some supernatural force should control all this. For 5 days (from 22 to 26 April), about 15 poltergeist episodes occurred: an invisible man threw earth, pens and rubber bands at his grandmother and granddaughter; in the hall, pots of flowers and huge boxes with seedlings were turned over in turn; puddles periodically began to appear in the bathroom and in the kitchen; bouncing bottles and decanters poured water on the pensioner and Katya; by themselves, the taps in the bathroom opened and closed, tights and a cord from the iron were tied to the bow, etc.

The Irkutsk-Kosmopoisk expert group has already managed to visit the poltergeist apartment several times: on April 27 and 29. During the second visit, on April 29, when Katya was in the apartment, 6 poltergeist episodes occurred in the presence of the researchers. It is interesting to note that they all occurred between 7:30 pm and 8:00 pm, when the group turned off the CCTV system and were about to leave. First, in the hall, the "noisy spirit" began to throw erasers, but when the researchers began to leave the apartment in their direction, pennies, a pair of shoes, and a metal spoon for shoes flew from the apartment to the staircase. In addition, a passing neighbor witnessed the last episodes. In some episodes, the researcher was able to fix the end of the movement of objects. So, for example, it was noticedthat one of the rubber bands flew along a steep parabolic trajectory. On the same evening, after the group left, for another 20 minutes the "noisy spirit" continued its outrage - a jug of water and a glass vase were thrown in the kitchen, Katya hit on the head with a mop.

At this stage, from the research carried out by the group, the following provisions became known.
Granddaughter Katya shows all the signs of a "focal face". At the moments of the manifestation of poltergeist, as a rule, her temperature rises (once even up to 420), her head begins to ache and it is difficult to see her eyes. From the moment of the outbreak of the poltergeist, redness began to appear on the body, localized. Throughout the entire activity of the phenomenon, Katya is in contact with a certain "little evil man" who takes responsibility for all the leprosy. He calls himself "BANI" and looks like a gnome or a brownie (at our request, Katya depicted him on paper). As Katya notes, unexplained incidents occur not only at her grandmother's home, but also at school, which gives rise to conflicts with both classmates and teachers.

Katya's communication with "Bani" is both verbal and a kind of telepathic character. Often he predicts to her what will happen. In particular, what he is going to "trick" himself. So "Bani" was well aware that on April 29 researchers would come, install cameras and measure with instruments. The psychological tests carried out and the doctor's assessment of Katya's condition showed latent psychological conflicts in the girl. Katya herself is a happy smart girl, prone to fantasies.
Instrumental measurements on different days showed that changes in the characteristics of the high-frequency electromagnetic field (50 MHz - 3 GHz) were almost doubled when Katya was in the apartment. Moreover, a localized electromagnetic anomaly was discovered in the area of the hall, from the area of which the main objects were thrown. The difference between days in this place affects more dramatically, as in terms of "energy density" by 63 times. The installation of a video surveillance system and stationary cameras has not yet brought clarity, "Bani" demonstratively refused to show itself in front of cameras. It is also important to note that the poltergeist proceeds according to a rather classical scheme (even a very classical one): a clearly defined phase change, the presence of a pronounced focal face in the face of a child with all characteristic symptoms, varied,the reasonable nature of the episodes.
The Irkutsk-Kosmopoisk expert group continues to study this interesting case. At this stage, the group is considering 3 hypotheses that explain what is happening:
A purely materialistic, natural solution to a psychophysical problem, i.e. the girl purposefully misleads the grandmother and the researchers by staging all the episodes - a basic, working hypothesis
"Trigger" hypothesis - suggests that poltergeist-conditioned psychokinesis can take place due to the ability of the "carrier", in this case Katya, to somehow manipulate energy sources and redirect, convert large amounts of it into psychokinetic actions.
Supernatural hypothesis - assumes the admission of the influence of an alien inhuman mind (in the person of "Bath") in the poltergeist process and in communication with Katya, as a focal person, with all the ensuing psychological influences on her.
Initially, the materialistic, natural hypothesis was accepted as the base, working expert group.
