“… At night I wake up as if from a jolt. I open my eyes, I look, a human figure, black, smoky, slowly moves around the room. What's the matter? Why are you wailing? " And then … However, let him tell about the future

“And then,” Valery said, “I also saw a ghost. A tall black silhouette is floating around the room. As if noticing me, he changes the direction of movement and begins to swim slowly towards me …."

Muscovite Tatyana Shatova, middle-aged women, woke up one morning in a bad mood. She had a very vivid color dream, terrible in content. Tatiana dreamed - her husband drowned in the river. The dream was not like the hazy, incoherent dreams she had had before. It was distinguished by the frightening authenticity of everyday realities, and the events in it unfolded in a strictly logical sequence. “As in a documentary film,” according to Shatova.

Here is this dream. Tatiana's husband and one of his friends lower the boat into the water, climb into it and drive away from the shore. They equip their rods and begin to fish. A friend, pulling fishing tackle out of the water, is too much outweighed over the side … The boat immediately overturns, and Shatova's husband, who cannot swim, soon drowns. Pondering the disturbing dream, Tatyana suddenly remembered - either yesterday or the day before yesterday, her husband briefly mentioned in a conversation with her that he was going to go fishing on the next day off. And not alone, but with the very same friend who, bent over awkwardly, turned the boat over in her dream! And the woman hastened to retell the terrible dream to her husband in all details. And then she began to beg him not to go fishing - well, at least on the next weekend.

The pleas were not heard. The husband, laughing, said in response that, they say, he does not believe in prophetic dreams and that such dreams are absurd and absurd superstitions, nothing more. Together with this friend, he went fishing.

And he drowned.

Until that day, the salary of the drowned person accounted for most of the income of the Shatov family.

Tatyana and two children - son Valery and daughter Svetlana - were left without a breadwinner. The son was

then 19 years old, the daughter -15. All of them soon became witnesses of a whole cascade of

frightening events that took place in their apartment for exactly forty days after the tragic death of the head of the family. And all of them are sure that it was the spirit of the drowned man who was freakin 'around the house for over a month, giving news about himself. I visited their apartment and recorded in detail the testimony of eyewitnesses directly at the site of the “contact incident”.

Valery says:

- After the death of dad, mom put his photo on the sideboard. The day after the funeral, we suddenly found that in the photograph … eyes came to life! The pupils in them moved, following me, for example, as soon as I walk across the room. I remember that Svetlana began to have a form of hysteria when she first noticed that the pupils in the photograph moved from their place and slowly swam from left to right, and then in the opposite direction. At that moment, my sister got up from the sofa, walked over to the TV, turned it on and then went back to the sofa …

We endured this horror for either two or three days. Mom didn't want to remove the photo. It was the best portrait of my father in the house. But in the end, she could not stand the "living gaze from the other world." She took the photo off the sideboard and stuck it deeper into the wardrobe, under her father's old things.

Svetlana:

- And the next morning we saw that last night, apparently, at night, someone

damaged a plaster figurine - a female figurine, standing on the same sideboard. The

figurine's hand fell off … And that very morning, a natural horror began in our

apartment!

Tatiana Shatova:

- In the mornings and evenings in the kitchen the door of the wall cabinet would open and close by itself. I have timed it. The door slammed every ten minutes. But most importantly, the effect of someone else's presence in the house began to put pressure on the psyche. All three of us clearly felt that someone was next to us.

- Have you seen him, this mysterious "someone"? - I asked Svetlana.

“Yes,” she said without delay. Answering the question, the girl nervously clasped her fingers and shrugged her shoulders. A grimace of disgust and horror appeared on her face for a moment.

- At night I wake up as if from a jolt. I open my eyes, I look, a human figure, black, smoky, is slowly moving around the room. She is clearly visible in the moonlight falling from the window … I'm like a scream! A brother rushes in from the next room, awakened by a shout: “What's the matter? Why are you shouting? And then … However, let him tell about the future.

“And then,” Valery said, “I also saw a ghost. A tall black silhouette is floating around the room. As if noticing me, he changes the direction of movement and begins to swim slowly towards me.

- Are you scared?

- No. I was just amazed. I wanted to get a better look at it, and I reached out

to the wall switch. A chandelier flashed under the ceiling. In the same second, the ghost

disappeared.

- He disappeared forever? Or did he come to see you again on the following nights?

Valery chuckled silently. His grin came out crooked. And Svetlana sighed noisily, and I noticed that her lips trembled.

“The ghost came again,” she said, barely coping with her excitement. - And then again and again.

- Did this happen often?

- Yes, the fact of the matter is that every night!

- Was it the ghost of your dead father? Or, according to your observations and feelings, so to speak, an extraneous ghost?

- It is difficult to answer definitely. On the one hand, we are sure that he comes, the deceased. However, on the other hand, the ghost outwardly did not clearly resemble him. There was a resemblance to a person in him, I would say, in general. A wobbly smoky silhouette is

all we saw.

Interrupting her daughter, Tatyana Shatova entered the conversation.

- In any case, it was a man! she said in a categorical tone. I raised my eyebrows in bewilderment and asked:

- A man? Where did you get such confidence? After all, according to your daughter, the ghost was like a wavering foggy silhouette.

- Right. Foggy silhouette, - Tatyana did not argue with me. - I myself saw him several times. However, after we turned on the light in the room where the ghost roamed in the middle of the night, we found wet footprints on the floor. These were footprints.

Hearing this, I was surprised. Moreover, I was very surprised. A disembodied spirit, a

weightless, smoky ghost that leaves not incorporeal footprints on the floor at all … It

was something quite unexpected for me, having heard enough

life dozens of stories about the most different tricks of ghosts. Marveling at what I said, I

clarified:

- Were these traces of bare feet?

- No. The footprints of the soles of men's boots were visible on the floor. You see, male! -

repeated Shatov Tatiana, raising his voice. - A chain of footprints stretched from wall to wall. Well, as if the one who left them came out of one wall, walked around the room, and then went into the other wall! … Horror, isn't it?

- True.

- I measured the prints. The length of each wet footprint coincided, by the way, with the size of the shoes my husband wore … On the fortieth day after his tragic death, this whole nightmare was cut off like a knife. The kitchen cabinet door stopped banging on its own. The black silhouette no longer disturbed us at night. Wet footprints on the floor also ceased to appear. And the effect of someone else's presence disappeared.

“Thus …

” “Thus, it was on the fortieth day that we were unequivocally convinced that the spirit of my drowned husband bothered us. Indeed, according to popular beliefs, forty days is the maximum period that is given to the soul of the deceased for the final and irrevocable transition from the world of living people to the world of the dead …
