The black abyss of Hitler's devilish subconscious

"If the tyranny of the Nazis is not evil in its pure form, then what can be considered evil at all?"

Lewis Spence

The history of the Third Reich, a book of secrets, each page of which is saturated with blood and mysticism, inhuman torture and pagan rituals, often these secrets are rooted in the depths of centuries and the black abyss of the devil's subconsciousness of the leaders of the Third Reich …

1940 - occult historian Lewis Spence from Britain, author of many bestsellers, published an anti-Nazi pamphlet "Occult Causes of War", in which he voiced what many people have guessed over the years. He stated that Nazi Germany is a product of satanic forces, marking the arrival of the Dark Age. "In his work, - wrote Spence, - the author reveals the nature of the dark forces behind the Nazi regime, which became a puppet in the hands of devil-worshiping cults, using it to achieve their own goals." Spence was not, as one might expect, an employee of the Allied Propaganda Department. However, he was convinced that socio-economic factors, the development of nationalism and the strength of the personality of Adolf Hitler could not cause and give the opportunity to form this new empire of evil:

"… Hitler is simply an instrument, a puppet at the mercy of the forces that have used dictators for many centuries to achieve their goals - to establish world chaos and, finally, to destroy humanity."

Spence said that practically all revolutions in Europe began by those who dared to reject Christianity. But at the same time, without a doubt, there must have been something, some kind of higher force, exerting a tremendous influence on Germany in the period between the two wars. The same force, according to Spence, influenced revolutionary Russia, France during the time of Robespierre and Spain during the time of Franco, even though Franco's "conservative revolution" was warmly supported by the Catholic Church:

Promotional video:

“… Look at the new pagan movement in Germany. Its satanic origin does not raise the slightest doubt Replacing the Christian cross with a swastika, rejecting church rituals and replacing them with rituals dedicated to Demeter, persecution of Christian priests and destruction of churches, the emergence of paganism, worship of ancient idols, teaching youth myths instead of commandments … All this suggests that Germany turned to that paganism which Satan considers most convenient for the destruction and destruction of the Christian faith."

On the other hand, rejection of Christianity or any other religion does not mean that you are a registered Satanist.

This was one of the main arguments of the new German church. And those who sought to weaken the influence of the Catholic Church were simply delighted with the new reforms.

But Spence and other writers who shared his belief in Good and Evil tirelessly pointed out that beliefs in witchcraft and magic took root in Germany, and their practice was widespread. And this, as they believed, was indisputable proof that the country was preparing the ground for the development of black magic …

The Nature of Evil

We can think of evil as a state of consciousness, or that it is a lack of compassion, or a denial of a saint, or God knows what else. Spence, however, clearly expressed his opinion on this matter:

“… Evil seeks its reflection, a tendency towards itself. This is precisely its main advantage - it chooses as its tool those whose minds are clouded. And over time, they lose that clarity of thought that was still preserved in them, and let loose their personal hidden evil, which was always hidden in the depths of their souls. The whole history of evil shows that it can only act when circumstances are favorable to it. It works here and now. It does not have reserves and latent forces, which Goodness possesses. And this is precisely its weakness."

Evil people are capable of instilling chaos and causing suffering to many, but, in fact, they are focused only on themselves and, moreover, on their self-deprecation, which dooms them in advance to failure. Evil can flourish only for a short period of time and only when there is no force nearby that can limit and stop it. The allies clearly lacked such strength when Adolf Hitler in the 1930s began to propagandize among the population the idea of "expanding space for life."

France was drained of blood by the previous war, and Great Britain at that time tried to restore the peace of mind of the population. It is no secret that many of the rulers of American and European political society openly admired Hitler for the economic miracle he performed (making huge loans that he did not intend to repay) and for his firm stance on Jews.

In this atmosphere of universal respect, the Nazis were able to almost imperceptibly violate the Treaty of Versailles, armed to the teeth under the very noses of the Allies, and attacked the Rhineland (Rhineland) in 1936, occupying the territory without firing a shot. World War II could have been prevented if France had objected to the German invasion of the Rhineland. German officers were ordered to retreat if the French army retaliated. But the French soldiers remained in their barracks.

Having tested the patience of the Allies and finding the results positive, Hitler set to work on Austria, then got to Danzig and Czechoslovakia, before the Allies could understand how naive they were. They announced that they would not surrender Poland if Germany continued its invasion. But it was already very late.

The evil nature of the Nazi regime was not fully realized, this became clear only after the liberation of the concentration camps in 1945. But only the most ignorant person could say that he did not even imagine what terrible consequences the dictatorship of Nazism could turn out to be and what it would be capable of. "Good people just need to do nothing, then Evil will exist." But all this talk about the nature of evil - isn't it just an excuse, an excuse for your own inaction? There was nothing we could do about it because it was something supernatural?

Or maybe there is evidence that Evil is some kind of matter, energy that uses criminals and tyrants as its tools? Considering that the leaders of the Third Reich were the servants of Satan, Spence wrote:

Participants in the Munich Conference of 1938, who transferred the southern lands to Adolf Hitler. This, of course, did not satisfy Hitler's predatory appetites, the treaty only spurred them on:

“If there had not been a long tradition of Evil, if there had not been a constant increase in its power and a certain official regime through which it could be applied. Evil would never have reached such gigantic proportions and would not have received such opportunities for such a successful existence and development."

Nazism, Spence wrote, was not founded by Satanists, but they infiltrated it and made it an instrument of destruction and chaos.

“The system is as old as the world. But it cannot be recalled that there was a more suitable period in history with conditions so promising for the achievement of Satan's great goal than those that developed in Germany from 1920 to 1940."

From Spence's point of view, Germany was the embodiment of Faust, who sold his soul to the devil. He wrote:

"Pride, which is one of the main tools of Satan, manifested itself in Nazi greed, pathetic and cowardly distortion of the truth, murders - open and secret, destruction and persecution of the helpless … As if the Nazis received an indulgence from the devil himself."

Fighting Good and Evil

Spence and his fellow occultists were not the only ones who believed that Germany sold its soul to the devil. The loudest opponents of the Nazi regime constantly used apocalyptic terms in their speeches. Queen Wilhelmina of Holland described World War II as "a war between God and consciousness against the forces of darkness." Cardinal Hicksley, Archbishop of Westminster, said to his flock: "We are on the side of the bright angels fighting the pride of rebellious Lucifer."

Bishop of the Church of England Dr. W. J. Whittingham was convinced of the rightness of the allies and the true nature of the threat posed by the Nazis: "We are fighting not with living people of flesh and blood, but with the Devil in the form of Hitler and his henchmen."

All of this was not just biblical rhetoric. Those who had survived the invasion of German fascist troops, those who lived in the occupied territories or suffered from the bombing, were firmly convinced that in the person of the Nazis they faced the living embodiment of evil on earth. And only later, after the war chronicles, after the testimony of witnesses at the Nuremberg trials, did everyone realize the terrible truth - human beings are capable of unthinkable atrocities, even without coercion from some supernatural forces of evil. Thus, many concentration camp commandants and bureaucrats who sent people to Dachau, Auschwitz, Treblinka, sincerely believed that they were acting in the interests of good. This conscientious indifference to the suffering of others has given rise to the term "the banality of evil," which explains the actions of serial killers and common criminals, even today.

The lonely voice of the student anti-Nazi organization White Rose was not heard in time, but that did not stop its young members from giving their lives in an attempt to wake up fellow citizens to draw their attention to the impending threat. One of the leaflets of this organization openly spoke about what the majority were even afraid to think about:

Not many opposed the Nazis. Frankly speaking, the planting of Nazism in Germany was carried out at all levels of social life of society. Already in elementary school, children were forced to use the "Nazi salute."

“Every word that leaves Hitler's lips is a lie. When he talks about peace, he means war. When he mentions the name of the Lord, he thinks about the forces of evil, about the fallen angel, about Satan. His mouth is the stinking gates of hell. His soul is rotten through and through, and his heart is cursed. We must fight the National Socialist terrorist state in rational ways. But those who still doubt the reality that have come, who do not believe in demonic forces today, do not understand the metaphysical background of this war. An irrational element is hidden behind specific, at first glance, obvious events, behind objective and logical arguments: the fight against demons, the fight against the servants of the Antichrist. Always and everywhere demons hide in darkness, waiting for a person to show weakness, when he turns away from God of his own free will. It is at that moment that they will grab him and force him to turn away from the light. And after he voluntarily takes this first step into darkness, he will no longer be able to stop."

The willingness of the German people to "take the first step into darkness" of their own free will was not the result, as we would now say, of the "flaws" of the church. German philosophers and writers of the era of both romanticism and rationalism recognized the fact that evil is an integral part of the personality of every person. Goethe gave the most profound description of the concept of evil in precisely the aspect in which it manifested itself in Hitler:

“This demonic element manifests itself in everything corporeal and incorporeal. Its manifestation is most noticeable in animals. But we are considering its mystical effect on a person … The most terrible manifestation of the demonic is its dominance in the character of a person … Such people are often not outstanding, do not shine with special talents and rarely stand out with warmth of heart …

But at the same time, there is a tremendous energy in them, capable of subduing all living beings. Perhaps their power is much greater, who knows? All moral principles mean nothing to them. And even if the most educated and far-sighted members of society try to oppose them, it does not work, because the masses bow to them. It is very rare for such individuals to meet equals among their opponents. And then no one, except the Universe itself, can say who will emerge victorious from the battle. And it was precisely from the observation of such situations that an ancient expression arose, terrifying in its accuracy: "Nemo comra Deum nisi Deus ipse" - "No one can resist God, except God himself."

In other words, evil is just a constant impulse that pushes a person on his way to development and is an integral part of his personality. In the language of modern psychology, evil is the result of an unstable psyche and a suppressed ego that distorts the perception of the world. But in moments of historical crises, as, for example, in the early years of World War II, the fighting sides need to create archetypes of enemies, make them an embodiment in order to justify murder, which in peacetime is a crime for the common man and is reflected by mental trauma.

However, many continue to believe in demons, rejecting rational explanations of certain phenomena, because believing in the supernatural is much easier than analyzing the ego, super-ego, self-perception, etc. Occultist Lewis Spence writes:

“As Adolf Hitler himself remarked, another person grew up inside him. It was a demon that consumed him more and more. And which he could not resist. In other words, the evil side is visible in all the actions of this cruel and ruthless creature, controlled only by a sense of revenge …

That he is ruled by forces whose true nature is hidden from him is absolutely evident from Hitler's conversation with Sir Neville Hendersen, which took place just before the start of the war. It is clear from it that Hitler is only an instrument of dominant influence that he cannot control."

Spence argues that the prolonged silence in which the Fuhrer plunged before making an important decision indicates that Adolf Hitler listened to inner voices …
