Renowned oncologist Dr. Mark was invited to an important conference to be awarded the award for many years of successful work.
The event was supposed to take place in another city where the doctor went on a flight. However, after two hours of flight, the airliner made an emergency landing at the nearest airfield due to a technical malfunction.
Afraid of being late for the conference, the doctor rented a car and continued on his way. But even then he was unlucky: very soon the weather deteriorated sharply - a downpour began, a strong wind rose. It was difficult to navigate in such conditions, and after a couple of hours the doctor realized that he was lost. Resigned to the fact that he was late for the conference, Mark decided to seek refuge for himself …
Soon a small old house was on his way. The doctor had no choice, and he knocked on the door. A beautiful woman opened the Mark. She said that there was no telephone in the house, and invited the guest to come in and wait out the bad weather. Drenched, tired and hungry, he willingly accepted her invitation. The hostess made the doctor hot tea, brought food. She said she was going to pray and that her guest could also join in the prayer.
Dr. Mark smiled and replied that he believed exclusively in human capabilities. As he sipped tea, he watched a woman praying in the faint candlelight over a crib …

There is only one person in the world who can heal a baby, but she has no money for treatment, and this doctor Mark lives quite far away … However, although the Lord has not yet answered her prayers, she firmly knows that help will come, and her faith cannot be broken by anything.
Shaken to the core, the famous Dr. Mark cried like a child. He remembered all the events that happened to him today: a breakdown in an airplane, an unexpected downpour and how he got lost, driving in unfamiliar terrain … And how this old little house appeared in front of him in a shroud of rain - the house where the woman lived, in his heart which only her faith and her love remained …
