An unidentified object fell from the sky and exploded on April 8, 2015 on the territory of the Kazachiy Khutor dacha cooperative near the village of Ugdan, Chita region. A crater formed at the site of the explosion, and a house was damaged not far from it.
“At about 11-12 o'clock, I heard the sound of an explosion and saw a column of smoke. Now there is a funnel and fragments of non-ferrous metal, alloy with steel. There are no casualties, because there were no people in the field,”Vladimir Milovanov, chairman of the Kazachiy Khutor cooperative, told the television company.
According to the TV company, as a result of the explosion, a house was damaged, the roof of which was bent, a chimney sagged and a stove partially collapsed. The press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Trans-Baikal Territory confirmed the presence of a crater to the Chita. Ru correspondent, but could not name the reason for its origin.
“It cannot yet be said that an explosion has occurred. The circumstances are being clarified, an operational investigation group is working on the spot,”the press service said.
As of seven o'clock in the evening, the police found and sent for examination the fragments of metal from the funnel.
“The reason for the crater has not yet been established. Fragments of metal were found at the site. The item is not identifiable, it does not look like anything. One of the versions is the explosion of a gas cylinder,”the press service said.
According to eyewitnesses, on April 8, 2015, at about noon, an object that had fallen from the sky exploded in the Kazachiy Khutor dacha cooperative.
