About three dozen sewing needles were accidentally discovered by doctors in the body of a resident of the state of Pará in the Brazilian Amazon
35-year-old patient has lived with dozens of steel needles for more than 20 years
A 35-year-old woman came to the doctor with complaints of ear pain. She was sent for an X-ray, and when the doctor looked at the picture, she was horrified: the patient's body was inside with sewing needles.
After a new study, doctors counted 24 - 26 steel needles in the soft tissues of a woman. One of these days, the medical council will decide whether to operate on the patient to remove foreign bodies. The needles in the body, by the way, did not cause inconvenience to the woman, she did not feel pain inside.
She doesn't know where the needles came from in her. But she said that her mother was a seamstress, and as a child she spent a lot of time among all kinds of sewing supplies.
According to doctors, their patient, aged nine to 11, inserted needles into her body herself. It’s just not clear why she doesn’t remember it. And one more mystery: it is incomprehensible why dozens of needles have not hurt a woman for more than 20 years.
Earlier, in the same Brazil, needles were found in the body of a child. The boy's name is not disclosed. It is only known that he is only two years old. The child was brought to a hospital in a small Brazilian town by his mother, 38-year-old Maria Souza Santos. She did not see any external injuries on her son's body. As well as the doctors did not see them. But the woman realized that her son was in pain, he was suffering. Besides, he vomited. And she went to the hospital.
The doctors could not make a diagnosis for three days. Until they figured out to make an x-ray. And when they did, they were horrified: deep in the boy's body were several dozen steel sewing needles. Some were pierced, lungs, liver, stomach.
The doctors decided to send the child to a larger hospital. And now the needles are removed from it one by one. True, they are afraid that they will not be able to take everything out. Or it will work out, but after a while.

The attending physician, Luiz Cesar Soltoski (Dr. Luiz Cesar Soltoski) assures that the boy could not swallow the needles. Otherwise, they would not have hit the legs or back. Someone pushed the needles on purpose.
Suspicion of atrocity fell on the new husband of the formerly divorced Maria, with whom she began living a few months ago. Information was received that he was engaged in black magic. And besides, he ran away immediately after the boy was taken to the hospital.
On Thursday, police found his stepfather and arrested him. Two more women were declared wanted, allegedly participating in the brutal ritual. And they were in one witchcraft sect.
Black magic experts claim that this is the first time they encounter such a ritual. After all, sorcerers usually stick needles into wax or rag dolls, which symbolize a certain person - the one whom they intend to damage. Including deadly. This practice is common, for example, among voodoo sorcerers. But to stick needles into a living person? Yes, even a child?
It is possible that the stepfather (or someone else) just wanted to kill the boy. Or a common ritual has been monstrously "modernized". And sticking needles into the stepson, the stepfather was going for some reason to damage his own mother.
The Brazilian police are trying to sort out this case, calling it mysterious and mystical.
By the way, Maria has five more children from other husbands. But nobody else was hurt. And the condition of the tortured boy seems to be improving. Previously, doctors stated that it had 50 needles. Now we have specified: 42 pieces. Most have already been checked out.
