During the Soviet era, according to researchers, all psychics and hypnotists were registered with the ubiquitous KGB. Today, these "specialists" are quietly engaged in their "craft", left to themselves, and who they are, and how many of them in the country, no one knows for sure. Moreover, not many of them perform on stage or work in the psychiatric field. Quite a large number of them have chosen a criminal career for themselves. So, according to statistics, today every third swindler in our country uses the most powerful "secret" weapon - hypnosis for his deception.
In the years of the Union, could one even assume that in Ukraine the head of the national medical project would almost become a swindler with a fake diploma. But Yushchenko almost appointed Andrey Slyusarchuk, a person without education, at least a higher medical one, as the head of the Brain Institute. And if it were not for the journalists and researchers who found out that Slyusarchuk graduated only from vocational school with a degree in "seamstress", this person would have achieved his goal. However, Slyusarchuk's main specialty was still hypnosis, in which he surpassed even Kashpirovsky. This false doctor could inspire any person with what he needed. Moreover, he also practiced, performed operations, prescribed treatment. According to journalists, seven people were killed in it.
And in the spring of this year in Alma-Ata policemen detained three women who were robbing people using the force of suggestion. One of these scammers was so dangerous that her victims were in a trance state for up to five days. They were able to be detained quite by accident, when they inadvertently ended up in the lens of a video camera. According to the police, such stories for them are no longer something exceptional for a long time.
In the medical or legal literature, such a suggestion is called criminal.
It is generally accepted that a hypnotist can subjugate any person to his will, as soon as he looks into the person's eyes. I must say that some people do possess the real gift of suggestion or hypnosis, but there are very few of them: very few. In other cases, these are scammers who use special techniques and techniques for their own purposes, and even then only against easily suggested personalities. Another question is that in the country every fourth, if not third, is such.
And if a person can easily succumb to suggestion, it can be easily convinced that he is a brilliant artist or musician. When a hypnotist suggested to a certain person that he was a genius chess player, and when he offered him to play chess, this person's very first reaction was to demand a one million fee from him.
Contrary to the prevailing stereotype, hypnotists do not have any supernatural abilities at all, but they possess the necessary skills and knowledge, being only "guides" into a state of trance and along the way helping a person to throw off psychological constrictions and relax as much as possible.
History knows the most famous experience of hypnosis, when in a huge audience a hypnotist moistens a cotton roll with some kind of liquid, informing that soon enough strong and very unpleasant smell will spread throughout the hall, and also asking those who feel it to raise their hand. After a few minutes, the whole audience begins to pull up their hands, and some even covered their nose with their hand. Moreover, some in the front ranks even felt sick … In fact, the hypnotist moistened cotton wool with plain water.

But how does this happen? How does one hypnotist make an entire audience fall asleep?

Hypnosis is the unexplored and bizarre ability of one person to influence the feelings and behavior of one or more people. According to some, it looks more like magic or witchcraft.
For example, the Viennese doctor A. Mesmer used hypnosis to treat mentally not quite balanced people, while he did not fully understand that he was engaged in hypnosis, believing that everything he did was "animal magnetism." However, most people have long considered the process of "mesmerism" a fraud.
Today literally everyone has heard about hypnosis. At the same time, some are afraid of him in panic, while others try to get rid of serious illnesses with his help, discovering their subconscious talents in the process, while others are even skeptical about talking about hypnosis, to put it mildly, simply not believing the possibilities of hypnotists.
Meanwhile, hypnosis is indeed capable of real miracles. Even not so much hypnosis itself, but a special state in the consciousness of a person and that amazing mode of functioning of such an organ as the brain, which begins in people as a result of hypnotic influence or targeted hypnosuggative, in scientific terms, suggestions.
It's already the twenty-first century. Hypnosis for almost a hundred years, starting from the time of Pavlov, is not entirely well-studied, but it is generally recognized throughout the world as a scientific direction. As a method of psychological influence, hypnosis, and in all its forms, began to be widely used not only by psychotherapists or political strategists, but also by religiously oriented preachers and management specialists, not to mention the "figures" of the criminal sphere.
An elementary ignorance of what hypnosis actually is, as well as by whom, where and for what purposes it can be used, to this day causes a kind of superstitious horror in people, which is supplemented by the media. It is they who deliberately "let in" a lot of fog around this topic, sometimes just deliberately misinforming people.
And, nevertheless, for many people, hypnosis, as well as everything that is somehow connected with it, was and, probably, will remain a "secret behind seven seals", a special "gift" possessed only by "initiates" and "chosen ones. ".
