Lake Spotted Lake
Spotted Lake (literally "spotted lake") is located in British Columbia, near the town of Osoyus in Canada. The unusual appearance of the reservoir is due to the high concentration of magnesium sulfate, silver, calcium and titanium.
The Okanagan Indians call Spotted Lake Kliluk. They consider the lake a sacred place where they come for healing for many years. The Indians believe that each of the circles has unique healing and healing properties.
Tourists are unlikely to be able to approach the lake without permission from an Okanagan elder. However, Spotted Lake can be photographed from a distance.
Ghost town of Centralia
Centralia is a ghost town located in Pennsylvania, USA. It turned into a kind of "Silent Hill" after an emergency in 1962. The City Council of Centralia has hired five volunteer firefighters to clean up the city's landfill located in an abandoned pit in an open pit mine. Firefighters set fire to garbage heaps, after a while they extinguished them. However, not completely. The flame spread to the coal seams, and an underground fire began.

Attempts to extinguish the fire were unsuccessful. Over time, people began to complain about the deteriorating health due to carbon monoxide. The townspeople learned about the true scale of the fire quite by accident 17 years later. Two years later, people were evacuated, only a few families remained.
Centralia burns to this day. However, this does not stop desperate tourists, ready to do anything for a spectacular selfie.
Island of dolls
One of the most sinister landmarks is located about 18 kilometers south of the center of Mexico City, in the Xochimilco area.
In the 1950s, Mexican Julian Santana Barrera suddenly decided to become a hermit. He left his family, work and sailed to a deserted island. People living in the nearest villages avoided the island and said that villagers had disappeared there more than once.
According to legend, a little girl drowned in a canal near the island, her spirit never found peace. Julian Santana Barrera found the doll near the place of the child's death. Since then, he has begun putting together an eerie collection to appease the spirit of the dead toddler.
Despite various rumors, travelers often visit the Island of the Dolls to tickle their nerves.
Desert Hand
The 11-meter sculpture is installed in northern Chile. The “hand of the desert” is a symbol of vulnerability, helplessness, injustice and loneliness of a person in the sand: the giant buried underground asks for help from higher powers. The monument was erected by the Chilean sculptor Mario Irarrasabal in 1992.
A sad place resonated in the hearts of thousands of people. Tourists constantly come to see the "Hand of the Desert". Here they shoot ads and videos.
Sacred forest
The sacred forest was erected in Italy, in the town of Bomarzo in 1548-1580. The ordering of the gloomy park was Duke Pier Francesco Orsini.

Overton bridge
In the city of Dumbarton, Overton Bridge is called the "dog killer." The fact is that tetrapods throw themselves upside down from it, and always from the same place. At first, the townspeople blamed everything on mysticism, they considered the bridge cursed.
However, animal behavior expert David Sexton did the research. The scientist found out that there is nothing paranormal here. In the area where the dogs jumped, there was a large amount of mink and mouse urine concentrate. This mixture had a strong effect on dogs, especially hunting breeds, so they fell off the bridge.
Hill of Crosses
The Hill of Crosses is located near the Lithuanian city of Siauliai. From a distance, the attraction resembles an old cemetery.
However, in fact, this is a hill that has become a place of pilgrimage for Catholics. People are sure that if you leave the cross here, then the desire will certainly come true, and luck will become their constant companion.
According to legend, a local peasant's daughter became seriously ill. The old man could not stand the torment of his beloved child, the doctors shrugged their shoulders. Then the man prayed to God. He took the cross to the hill. Left it there. Soon the girl recovered. The news of this spread throughout the city and new crosses began to appear on the hill.
Hoya-Bachu forest
Hoya-Bachu Forest or "alien" forest is located in the west of the Romanian city of Cluj-Napoca. Rumor has it that he earned the reputation of a paranormal place thanks to the appearance there of UFOs and other equally strange phenomena. Local residents are not afraid to walk in the forest, but they don't stay there for a long time.
"Martians" could be attributed to urban legends that attract tourists. If not for one "BUT": photographs of UFOs were recognized as genuine.
Kanbashi ghost town
Kanbashi is a modern abandoned city. It is located in Inner Mongolia in the rich region of China, where there are many different mines. It was assumed that the workers would move to a comfortable metropolis.
However, Kanbashi was never settled. It's all about expensive real estate and other financial problems. The city is home to 18 thousand people (two million people were planned) - this creates the illusion of an absolutely empty metropolis.
Aokigahara forest
The Aokigahara Forest ("Plain of Green Trees" or "Sea of Trees") stretches at the foot of Mount Fuji on the Japanese island of Honshu.
With the onset of dusk, they only speak in whispers about this eerie place. Disappearances, frequent suicides are the real face of Aokigahara.
Tourists are forbidden to turn off the main paths deep into the forest - it is easy to get lost here. The magnetic anomaly makes the compass completely useless, because of the similar terrain, it is impossible to find a way from memory. Numerous ghosts have long been legendary.
The forest gained notoriety in the Middle Ages. There, in the years of famine, driven to despair, the poor brought their elderly, infirm relatives and left them there to die. The groans of the unfortunate were not heard through the dense wall of trees, there was no one to shout to those doomed to painful death.
Now the forest is regularly patrolled; cameras and helpline signs are installed along the paths.
However, the number of victims of Aokigahara has not yet become much lower.
