If these were really baths, and not stands for fountains (I fully admit that, just like in Moscow, they are used both as flower beds and in Rome as fountains), then they are clearly not for human growth. Such baths for giants. And all these huge exhibits in the Hermitage, such as malachite vases, and the same Tsar-Vanna clearly indicate that the giants were also people, and just like all of them, they had to observe the rules of personal hygiene, to eat from something and drink. So there is nothing surprising in this.
