We live on a magnificent planet, but we never tire of striving for more. One glance into space made a person dream forever of travels to its enchanting depths - and now, this dream is close to being realized. Powerful telescopes can already demonstrate what to expect from such an exciting trip.
Sunflower galaxy
This galaxy is one of the most beautiful cosmic structures in the universe. Its expansive, sinuous sleeves are composed of new, blue-white giant stars.
Carina nebula
Believe it or not, there is not a drop of Photoshop in this image. The mountain of gas and dust spreads over three light years in circumference, and space itself is an endless source of energy.

Zwicky 18
The Zwicky 18 galaxy looks like a true sci-fi movie. The dwarf irregular structure confuses scientists, since it does not fit any existing theory of the formation of the universe.
NGC 604
Nebula NGC 604 is composed of over 200 incredibly hot suns. The Hubble Space Telescope captured the brilliant fluorescence of the nebula caused by ionized hydrogen.
Crab nebula
And here, scientists managed to take an image of the supernova remnants, still burning out in the constellation Taurus. Several million years have passed since its explosion.
V838 Mon
The red ball at the center of this image, the star V838 Mon, is surrounded by many dusty clouds. This incredible photo was taken after the star caused something of a light echo that scattered the surrounding dust throughout the universe.
Engraved hourglass
The grim image of this nebula shows clouds of a gas cloud moving endlessly across the galaxy on stellar winds.
