Modern science, relying on material evidence, builds a certain scheme that would give all the answers to the stable illusion of awareness and concepts of the past built by mankind. However, every year all over the world strange mysterious places are discovered, unique artifacts that call into question the classical historical theory. The abundance of such finds makes it possible to create an alternative history of the origin and development of mankind. Most of these finds do not become the property of the general public, but remain hidden in various repositories of research laboratories and museums.
Unfortunately, science does not recognize the existence of something mythical and otherworldly. And now we will tell about one such example, when scientists paid a terrible price for their arrogance and disrespect for ancient traditions and local legends.
There are many different places in the world that attract researchers, archaeologists and scientists. Among such places, the cave is located in Thailand, where there is a huge number of human skeletons. Researchers today do not know by whom, when and why these human remains were placed there.
Find of the century
David Woddle dedicated his life to exploring Thailand. His range of interests included the study of various folk customs, beliefs and cults that were common in this area in antiquity. Studying the notes of a Dutch traveler of the 16th century, he found records that there was a tribe in the north of the country that lived in a closed society. Even then, there were legends about the terrible and boundless cruelty of the representatives of this small nationality. So, all the same Dutch traveler in his notes mentions that various terrible rumors circulated among the people about representatives of this small ethnic group.
Most likely, the scientist was so struck by the traveler's notes that he was eager to find this area and conduct archaeological excavations there. I must say that in his notes, the Dutchman also mentioned a ritual cave filled with the skeletons of killed enemies and then sacrificed to the gods. Of course, do not forget that the navigator quite colorfully described the various riches that were in this huge cave. From a historical point of view, such a find would be a real scientific sensation, so it is not strange that David Woddle decided to conduct a small research mission into the jungle in order to find any artifacts that the author of the diary mentioned.

Mission start
In 1992, the scientist receives a grant for his research company. In the same year, he travels to Thailand to do research in that country. Here he receives permission from the government and after a short collection, his search group increases to 6 people. The guide, a local resident, takes him only to the side of the mountain, after which he leaves the group, citing the fear of the demons that live directly in the cave and on the top of the mountain. He also warns the researchers that they would leave the mission and not anger the demons and return home. However, Woddle continues his journey, and after two days, communication with him completely stops …
Rescue operation
After contact with the researcher was lost, no action was taken for a week. Only when it became obvious that the expedition had disappeared or got into some kind of trouble was an emergency commission created, which was supposed to deal with the search for the missing travelers. This commission decided to send a rescue group to the mountains, which would consist of scientists and representatives of the country's security forces. The representatives of the search mission should have followed the same route as the missing archaeologist.
The operative actions of the internal security agencies made it possible to find the very guide who accompanied the scientist to the foot of the mountain. Interrogation showed that the conductor had nothing to do with the disappearance of the group. After that, it was decided that it was he who should accompany the rescue operation on the route that he was moving with the missing expedition. As in the last time, the guide without any problems led the expedition to the foot of the mountain on which this cave was located, but he refused to climb higher, or to go from expeditions to the cave itself.
Finding remains
After a short climb up the mountain, the group found the bodies of the missing scientists near their last stop. The bodies of all three scientists were found. After a cursory examination of the found remains, it was concluded that all three had died a violent death. The gruesome wounds indicated that all three scientists were brutally killed. Remains of other members of the mission were found nearby. The injuries received by all those killed were identical and striking in their cruelty. The heads were pierced with a blunt object, as if someone had long and hard pressed on the head of the unfortunate. Chests were torn and internal organs were missing at the scene of the murder. One got the impression that all these atrocities were perpetrated by wild animals that attacked the camp, because nothing was missing from the equipment and expensive equipment, and valuable things and money remained in place.
After a thorough examination of the scene, a diary was discovered, which described the various stages of the expedition. The last recording was made before the death of the group. It says that the expedition has reached its ultimate goal. Preliminary archaeological research was carried out, but already on the first night that the group spent near the cave, various strange sounds were heard, as if coming from it. The next entry said that scientists managed to find a truly unique artifact, but what kind of thing it was in the diary did not say. The notebook mentions a sound emanating from the cave, reminiscent of the striking of many small hammers on a stone, and this sound is amplified. It is also said that there is a possibility of surveillance of the work of archaeologists,Incomprehensible shadows were also noticed and as if someone was trying to sneak into the camp unnoticed. All this greatly alarmed the dead archaeologists, who decided to stop research and complete the mission, taking with them a valuable artifact. What happened to the expedition is not known further.
Scary secrets
The rescue expedition had no choice but to collect the bodies and prepare them for transportation, in order to then transport them to their homeland. It was decided that it was necessary to stay here for a while. During the first overnight stay, members of the rescue team heard strange sounds coming from the cave, which verses at dawn. A group of scientists who were part of the expedition decided to do a little research in the cave. When they entered the cave, a picture opened up in front of them, which fascinated and frightened at the same time. Inside there were a huge number of skeletons, which were almost intact, located in various positions. Some of them sat, stood, or were suspended from the ceiling. Exploring the cave took a whole day.
It was decided to stay one more night next to this mysterious cave. At night, the strange sounds coming from the cave were repeated again. The anthropologists who were part of the group decided to visit the cave again. Seeing that the skeletons changed their positions, the scientists decided to deal with everything that was happening and conduct a scientific experiment …
Armed with pistols and powerful lanterns, they decided to spend the whole night in a cave. The rest of the expedition tried to dissuade the daredevils from the crazy idea, but they went to the cave at sunset. In the middle of the night, the remaining members of the expedition heard multiple shots, which died down over time, and then there was the melodious thump of many hammers. And only with the onset of dawn did they decide to go to the cave, where they found the bodies of the killed scientists. The heads were broken, the ribcages were torn apart, and the internal organs were gone. A huge number of cartridges were found on the ground, and the scientists fired exactly in the direction of the cave, from where strange sounds were heard. But it was not possible to find traces of blood or bodies of the attackers. The expedition hastily gathered, took the bodies of the dead and immediately set off on the return journey. Who or what caused the death of so many people remains a mystery.
