Video: What Is Hiding Under The World Famous Nazca Lines In Peru | Blowing Up History 2024, May
Anonim

The start of the expedition to study the Torgai geoglyphs with the participation of American researchers is scheduled for April.

Huge drawings on the ground were included in the list of 10 significant historical and archaeological discoveries of the past year. Scientists from the United States consider them to be proof of the existence of an ancient civilization on the territory of Kazakhstan. The authorship of these works, which are about 8 thousand years old, is still controversial in scientific circles.

Huge drawings that have already received their own names, for example, "Ushtogay square" or "Bestam ring", were noticed by Kostanay regional researcher Dmitry Dey in 2007 in images from space.

They are in no way inferior to those for which the Peruvian Nazca plateau is famous, some stretching for hundreds of meters.

Dmitry Dey, head of the Turgai Discovery project

“Within the framework of this project, we will have a group of foreign scientists, plus our scientists representing different sciences, in order to make a scientific assessment of the potential of the objects, that is, how interesting they are, how ancient they are. This group should make an assessment of the tourism potential. It should be considered now, especially on the eve of EXPO 2017.
