In New Orleans, the largest city in the American state of Louisiana, a snow-white house is for sale, in which, at first glance, none of us would refuse to live.
The property is valued at just $ 5 million, which, according to its owners, is more than a lucrative price to pay for a spacious mansion in one of the most prestigious areas of the city. However, there is one catch: the house is inhabited by evil ghosts, and the buyer, whether he wants it or not, will have to live with them.
Magnolia Mansion is shrouded in rumors of unexplained events that have been taking place here over the past fifty years. In the photographs, it looks like a very attractive Ante Bellum-style cottage, but the locals will tell you that this mansion, built in the middle of the nineteenth century, has long been the abode of an aggressive poltergeist, evil spirits and other otherworldly entities that want to harm a person.
A few years ago, this house with an area of one thousand two hundred and forty-two square meters was sold for ten million, but due to its notoriety, no one agreed to buy it, even for the purpose of resale. The Turner family, who owns the cottage but refuses to live in it, have been forced to constantly lower the price of Magnolia Mansion. Why is it that even today no one dares to buy this visually flawless piece of architectural art?
How a posh mansion turned into a haunted house
The house was built in 1857 by renowned architects James Culrow for a wealthy cotton plantation owner. As soon as the owner moved into the mansion, he fell ill with yellow fever and died. The house was sold to a wealthy industrialist, and after just a week the new owner of the property was killed by lightning. Magnolia Mansion came into the possession of the businessman's son, and he, having heard something bad about the house, decided to be careful and therefore first placed the servants in the luxurious mansion. Nothing happened to the latter, after which the calmed American moved into the house himself, but six months later he fell down the stairs and smashed his head to death.

Since then, more than two dozen owners of Magnolia have died here. It is believed that the mansion stands in an ancient cemetery where powerful voodoo priests were buried. At the same time, the spirit of every person killed by an evil house remains here forever and begins to harm the new owners of this damned property. Here you can meet a wide variety of guests from the other world: from a harmless ghost flipping glasses of water on the tables to a two-meter black old woman who tries to strangle everyone who enters one of the many bedrooms at night.
The house has long turned into a local landmark. Tourists are photographed against its background and look from afar through the windows, trying to notice something supernatural in empty rooms. However, no one dares to buy housing flooded with evil spirits, although its cost has long been ridiculously low …
