CHILE. Engineer Germain Pereira photographed a strange creature in the capital of the country, Santiago, in Forestal Park. As Pereira himself says, in the picture you can see that it is walking, and you can distinguish his hands and head, but he himself does not know what it is.
The engineer was amazed at the resonance caused by the picture he had taken: he had already received calls from Spain, Colombia, Argentina, etc. I even had to turn off my cell phone, otherwise it was impossible to concentrate on my work - the phone kept ringing.
Eric Martinez of the Corporation for the Study of Aerial Phenomena (CIFAE) said it was one of the clearest images of an alien ever captured.
Germaine Pereira is 33 years old. He graduated from the University of Concepción and came to Santiago just a year ago. On Monday, May 10, 2004, he took his Kodak digital apparatus and rode his bicycle to the forest park. In total, he then snapped off a dozen frames and did not see anything special in the viewfinder. I took pictures of two mounted policemen, and then in his camera there was also this picture, which went around the whole world.
- What was special about that shot if it caught your attention? - asks his correspondent for the Las Ultimas Noticias newspaper published in Santiago.
“You see, I first photographed the carabinieri as they passed the nearby bridge. Then, since I was on a bike, I had to go to the northern sector. From there, I photographed them again, and it was this photo that turned out to be what is now walking the Internet.
- Have you seen the alien on the camera screen?
- No, I saw him only the next day, when I downloaded the photo to my computer. I was looking at the pictures with a colleague and we found it strange. I think anyone who looked at the photo would have the same impression. It's shocking.

- No, nothing at all. I asked myself about this when I checked the picture, tried to remember what was happening there. Ideally, it would be great if I noticed this creature at the very moment when I took the picture, but I did not see anything like that. I was only interested in the mounted patrol, and I photographed it.
- Have you ever encountered something like this?
- No, nothing like this has happened before, and I'm not really interested in UFOs or aliens.

“On Tuesday May 11, 2004, when I downloaded the image to my computer, I immediately e-mailed it to my friend in Concepcion. And he sent it to people from CIFAE and two other organizations.

AUSTRALIA. Another interesting shot from Adelaide. It was made by a woman who gave only her name - Katie. She photographed the UFO as it flew near her home - less than a mile away.
“The only thing I could see,” says Katy in her letter, “is that the underside of the object seemed curved and very smooth. The other side was enveloped in a bright yellow-orange glowing haze with a brilliant white glow that seemed to move from the top to the center. I zoomed in the pictures and they look stunning. All that day I had the strange feeling that I was in constant anticipation. My son kept asking me what had happened, and I answered: "Nothing." But my condition was as if I was waiting for someone …
And Katie adds that before, when she saw a UFO, nothing like this happened to her. For example, once, when she was flying from Los Angeles to Sydney and was in the cockpit, she even saw a UFO mark on the onboard radar screen. And the pilots told her that they see this often.

GREAT BRITAIN. In late May 2004, UFO fever swept across southern Devon, UK after an amateur photographer accidentally captured a UFO over Brixham. When the picture was seen by readers of The Herald Express, they unleashed a flurry of phone calls on the editorial office - everyone excitedly told that they had seen a UFO. For example, over Torbay. Assumptions were expressed differently, but some did not doubt: this is a UFO! Police and Coast Guard reported, however, that no “close contact” was reported.
The dramatic shot that started it all was taken by Chef Nick Bourne at Aromas Café on Hyde Road in Painton. That evening, May 25, 2004, Nick was having dinner with his wife Claire and nine-year-old daughter Maddison at the restaurant of the Berry Head Hotel and decided to take panoramic views with the camera built into his cell phone. It was then that something unusual came into view. Puzzled and surprised, Nick took a couple of pictures and continued dinner.
“But I am still skeptical about any such thing. It was just the end of the day, and I couldn't make out what it was. It was motionless, and in shape it was conical and with a biconvex dome in the middle. I have no idea what it was,”he adds.
However, later it turned out that the object, which he captured at 6.30 pm (or maybe some other), at about the same time was seen over the bay by at least twenty more people. One of the eyewitnesses is Roy Dutton, a Torquay resident and retired British aerospace engineer. For twenty minutes in a row, he observed the object through a telescope with 80x magnification.
“At first I thought it was an airplane, but I saw it clearly, and there were no signs of a cockpit or power plant. Nothing like that at all. The object was completely black … and moved slowly over Torquay from north to south. I've never seen anything like it before. From my aviation experience, I can say that it went at an altitude of about 10 thousand feet (more than 3 km - Ed.) And was very large, at least the size of a large jet liner. After about 15 minutes he stopped. Then he swayed slightly and went up - maybe even doubled the height, at the same time shifting and rather quickly going southeast towards the Channel (English Channel. - Ed.). In the end, at about 5.25 pm, I lost sight of him when I had to move the telescope - trees obstructed the view … What worried me was that he was walking along the route,commonly used by airplanes approaching Exeter airport … No, I have not tried to photograph, because I know from experience how difficult it is to take a good picture when something is flying at that height. Another pair of eyewitnesses are teenagers who saw the Ellakome object, 15-year-old Helen McGregor and her 14-year-old cousin Hayley Tucker.
“We all just stood and no one said anything, because we had no idea what it was,” Helek says. “It looked like a kite, but it flew very, very high. It was just a long black pipe. We rushed into the house to call my aunt, but when we looked up again, it had already flown away.
Laura Lamont of Watscom was at that moment among about a dozen other onlookers who looked up in amazement at the sky.
- It was really amazing. We were all just speechless. But the time that we observed, a red helicopter flew past, and a jet plane passed at low altitude. But that was something completely different. It was so high in the sky! And then it seemed to come to a standstill. Many pointed fingers at him.
In Torquay, five golfers interrupted their game and stared in amazement at a cylindrical object, which, they said, stood motionless in the sky for 15 minutes.
Simon Wills of Babbacome decided it must be a loose balloon, a balloon or something like that.
“It was long and black, with a shiny texture,” says Wills. - And sailed over Oddicome beach towards Ptitor and beyond.
Gary Close saw the same object through his powerful binoculars:
- The side that was facing me, cast yellowish. If, suppose, it was a balloon detached from the leash, then I did not see any rope or other attachment there. This was something very unusual. It's hard to say what size it was.
There were other eyewitnesses, but it is simply impossible to retell all their messages. It is clear that something extraordinary was flying over Devon, and it is not even clear whether there was one UFO or several.
