The story was posted several years ago in an audio podcast on the American paranormal site Ground Zero Radio with Clyde Lewis. A man named Jim tells.
“I work as a police officer in upstate New York. On Sunday, December 8, 2013, I went to the store, It was about 9 o'clock in the evening and I still have chills when remembering what I saw.
In general, I was driving my Ford Explorer along the usual path, this road passes near my house and everything happened about half a mile from my house. Suddenly I saw three figures in front of me on the road. And the first thing that struck me was their height. They were just huge, over three meters or even all four meters.
They wore black hooded robes. There was nothing to be seen except these robes. Out of surprise and fright, I greatly slowed down and noticed that the car driving in the next lane did the same, he saw them too! The latter even cheered me up for a second, since it turned out that this was not a hallucination.
The figures, meanwhile, continued to stand motionless right in the middle of the highway and I had no choice but to slow down to a minimum. And the closer I got to them, the stronger the fear was, I even felt the hairs on the back of my head stand on end.
In the meantime, thoughts rushed about in my brain: “What the hell is this? What's going on here? I don't believe in abnormal bullshit and it just can't be. A few seconds passed like this, and then … they just disappeared, as if they weren't there.
For the rest of the evening and night, I could not close my eyes and thought about what I saw. I didn't even tell this story to my girlfriend. I cannot explain logically what it was. This road is not somewhere far outside the city, it is quite busy, there are many houses and very good lighting.
And these figures were material and they blocked the light from the lanterns. And not only I, but also another driver saw them, and like me he practically stopped so as not to run over them, and when they disappeared, I saw how he threw up his hands in amazement.

After that, I could not continue my journey, but turned around and also very slowly, still in a state of shock, drove back home.
