Vernon Overley is a well-known medium in the United States; for many years he has been in contact with the inhabitants of the afterlife. The uniqueness of Mr. Overly is that he does not just contact the dead - his appearance changes during seances. He takes on the traits of a person whose soul he invokes.
During a seance, Overly's face may show a slight beard outline or an earring in the ear. Souls, according to Mr. Overly, use it to help the living and answer their questions.
The medium claims that the inhabitants of the other world have invaluable knowledge and are ready to share it in their dreams. For example, Elias Howe saw in a dream a needle with a hole at the sharp end, thanks to which he invented a sewing machine. And Dmitry Mendeleev dreamed of the periodic table of elements.
“Human life does not end with death,” says Mr. Overley, “on the contrary, it is just beginning. Our world is a training ground for the transition to the real world. Communicating with the inhabitants of the other world, we can learn the truth and a lot of useful things."
In his book, The Medium, Vernon Overley talks about the famous British pianist Jesse Shepard, who was born in 1842. Shepard was an ordinary musician. However, having learned to deal with ghosts, he became a consummate performer who gathered full halls of fans. Later the pianist said: "Mozart and Chopin play through me" - Shepard explained his unexpectedly manifested talent.
“Everyone has their own otherworldly patron,” says Vernon Overley, “who leads him through life. Most people don't know about it. Some patrons make a person an inventor or an excellent doctor. Nevertheless, there are also some patrons who turn people into murderers, rapists and the like."
In one of the chapters of his book, the medium wrote about the spouses-doctors William and Maria Brown from the state of Georgia. William and Maria are etheric surgeons. Doctors see the internal organs, nerves and tissues, while the Browns also see and heal the human etheric shell.
