A ghost is a restless human soul that refused to go up the stairs of the underworld to the next step. Most often, this soul has unfinished business. For example, a man was killed, but the police decided that the death was an accident and closed the case. The culprit is not punished, the soul of the victim wants revenge. Therefore, most ghosts are negative.
Ghost legends are most popular among adolescents (about 70% of the total audience), among the elderly (about 20% of the interested audience), the next place is taken by people with mental disorders or violent imagination (about 5%), followed by those who in my life, at least once, I have come across an inexplicable phenomenon, seen a real ghost or something strange (about 3%). The remaining 2% of the audience are experts and charlatans in dark and light magic, who are interested in ghosts because their profession is closely related to the other world.
Now I will briefly state for you one of the most beautiful and oldest legends about two ghosts living in England. XIV century AD. Wooden house. An incredibly large family: Husband, wife, six sons and one daughter. Every day, without exception, a husband and wife went to trade at the market in order to feed themselves and their offspring, entrusting all household chores to the children.
The head of the family often noted that upon returning home, unclean rooms, a cold hut and a casual dinner served to the table await him. In response to the father's abuse, the sons declared: “Housework is a woman's responsibility!”, Thereby shifting the blame onto the sister. For this, the girl was constantly flogged with a whip. Neither the husband nor the wife were aware that as soon as they left the threshold of the house, the brothers tied their sister to the bed and bullied. These guys had an incredible talent for hiding the truth from others. The girl hoped to soon leave the house forever and imperceptibly began to put aside supplies, but the irreparable happened - one of the brothers discovered a cache under the mattress. The sister's intentions became apparent. The brothers' anger knew no boundaries and came to their senses too late - the girl was dead. The corpse was buried several miles from the house. In the evening,the guys with sad faces told their parents that their daughter went to get some brushwood, but did not return. The search continued all night and the next day. There was nothing left, tired parents and sons returned home and went to bed.
In the morning, absolute silence reigned in the house. Nobody continued their search. Nobody went to the market. Nobody went for brushwood. In this house, no one was left alive. Each of the inhabitants of the hut was tied to a bed and beheaded.
After a while, people became interested in the long absence of merchants and went to visit them. Notoriety went about the girl after they found the corpses of the entire family with the exception of her. Different versions of what happened went until the ghost of the merchant's daughter appeared to one of the peasants and showed the way to the buried corpse. After that, her soul found peace and left our world as well as the souls of her brothers. And only the souls of parents could not follow them, feeling guilty for not being able to keep track of their own children.
On the territory of England, the ghost of the father and the ghost of the mother still roam. They do not tolerate violence in any of its manifestations and arrange reprisals in the form of unfortunate incidents, over extremely cruel people, restoring justice.
