A great migration of peoples is taking place in Europe, this time planned, as many analysts believe. What will happen to European civilization? What should a divided Christianity do in the face of the threat of radical Islamization? How are things in the Balkans, an outpost of Orthodoxy? This is Pravda. Ru told the chairman of the Geopolitical Center "Eurasia" (Bulgaria) Petko Ganchev.

Ottoman Empire and Turkic Union

- Why, from your point of view, Turkish President Recep Erdogan entered into direct confrontation with Russia, giving the order to shoot down a Russian plane?

- Recep Tayyip Erdogan created the Justice and Development Party based on the former Islamic Virtue Party. And, essentially, he is an Islamist and a nationalist. He embraced the ideas of his prime minister, Ahmet Davutoglu, who has long been developing ideas for the revival of the Ottoman Empire. And it is no coincidence that all the time on television and on screens are various films about the Ottoman Empire, its achievements, culture, and so on, and so on.

This propaganda goes to all countries where the Ottoman Empire ruled until the end of the 19th century. They prove that they have ennobled local cultures, allegedly helped many peoples, and that these peoples must return, this is supposedly the principle of Islam.

Unfortunately, they have a lot of protégés from the Turkish population that remained there, the so-called Turkomans. Still different politicians in the Balkans and in the European Union always assent to them, looking for their interests. They are very shortsighted.

And what happened, in my opinion, is logical. I expected this, I did not believe Erdogan that he is a true friend of Russia. He just followed his geopolitical interests. They are doing this together with the United States of America, which is achieving its global geopolitical goal, temporarily using the interests of Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Qatar and so on.

Promotional video:

At the European Union summit, European bureaucrats - vassals of the United States of America - decided to give 3 billion euros to Turkey next year, so that she would keep migrants and not let them go to Europe. At the same time, they opened the process of Turkey's accession to the European Union and started these negotiations again.

Erdogan plans to make a Turkic union, he has begun negotiations with the Central Asian republics. Erdogan presents himself as the leader of the Arab-Islamic and Turkic world.

Of course, Erdogan and Davutoglu acted very stupidly, it will cost them dearly. It will cost them the integrity of Turkey.

The Middle East is a knot in which many global geopolitical and regional interests are intertwined. This knot was tied in the deep past, when Islam was just established and the Sunni and Shiite waves began to form.

The very birth of Islam - the youngest monotheistic religion - has caused a new phase of confrontation between monotheistic religions and civilizations. Although Islam, in essence, is a religion derived from Judaism and Christianity. Islam is obedience to Allah, at the same time it provides for the process of jihad - the conquest of the alien spaces of the unbelievers who have not accepted these principles. Islam is an integral system of life. There is politics, everyday life, economics and finance.

Clash of civilizations

- What should Christian civilizations do? Or are Christians so divided that they have no common ground?

- Christianity weakened after the Reformation and Enlightenment in the West. Then Orthodoxy also weakened. The tendencies of secularism - the separation of the state from the church, science from faith - had a very strong effect. This process has gone too far. This was shown in "Charlie Hebdo" - people have nothing sacred at all.

The crisis of Christianity can be overcome if new people come to the Church. Now our Bulgarian Church is too weak, obedient and toothless. The patriarch only repeats some banal words. They lost what our Church retained even during the times of Turkish slavery. Then there was a strong apostolic spirit, therefore Bulgaria managed to withstand five centuries, preserved the faith. And now, after the collapse of Marxism-Leninism and atheism, people do not know what to do.

The Church needs spiritual people who would lead the people to salvation, to spirituality, and now there are officials. They do not understand that there is a deep crisis going on, a rift in civilization. Now - as in the IV-VII centuries, when the Asian peoples were walking. The hordes destroyed the Roman Empire because it was mired in moral degradation.

- And now it is repeating itself.

- Yes, there is a repetition on a new round of history. We need passion, which Lev Nikolayevich Gumilyov spoke about, energy, readiness for protection, sacrifice in the name of the Motherland. And I am very glad that these processes are still going on and are being revived in Russia in connection with the policy pursued by Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin.

It is foolish to think that in the process of globalization we should all become the same. On the contrary, we must preserve our identity, our cultural essence, diversity. Of course, there is a process of integration of financial, informational and so on, but you cannot lose what people have created for centuries, millennia. And this is waking up among the people.
