Recent research has shown that the bead found in a tomb more than 5,000 years old was made from a piece of meteorite.

70 kilometers south of Cairo, on the territory of the Hertse burial site, a tubular ornament was discovered. Dating from 3600 - 3350 BC, the beads found at this burial are unique products made of iron. And these are the first traces of it in Ancient Egypt. And from the very discovery of the finds, scientists had a version of their extraterrestrial origin.

The analysis performed showed an extremely high content of nickel in the alloy, which is unusual for metals obtained under terrestrial conditions. This high concentration of nickel is often found in iron meteorites that fall to the ground. But in the 80s of the last century, they doubted the validity of the theory of the use of meteoric iron and considered the high nickel content a side effect of an unknown smelting technology.

But recent studies by scientists at the University of Manchester, conducted using a microscope and a special X-ray scanner, clearly indicated that these decorations are made of meteorite iron.

It was also found that the crystal lattice corresponds to this type, which is formed when the mass is extremely slow cooling. Such a process took place during the early formation of the solar system.

A further set of measures also indicated that the shape of the decoration was given by cold forging.

Today, metal smelting is an ordinary and rather routine process, but in ancient times for the Egyptians it was a mystical and divine gift from heaven, sent by the gods themselves. Therefore, only pharaohs were decorated with products made of this metal and were sent with them to the afterlife.

Ancient jewelry isn't the only iron gifts from the cosmos that have been discovered by scientists. German researchers have found that the statue of Buddha brought to Europe by the Nazis was also made of meteorite iron. Even a specific donor was identified. It turned out to be the Ching meteorite, which fell to Earth about 20,000 years ago.
