Inventor Andreas Hein, together with colleagues in the profession, is working on an interesting project: experts want to develop a small ship that will be able to reach the planet Proxima Centauri. She interested scientists immediately after the discovery - it happened last year.

The thing is that a celestial body is located in the habitable zone, that is, it theoretically can contain water and living organisms. Femtosecond Andromeda, according to Hein, will be able to fly to Proxima Centauri in just a few years. A laser beam will control its flight.

This technology is quite complex, because despite the small distance between the exoplanet and the Earth - only 4 light years or 40 trillion kilometers - the laser beam must point in the right direction and the slightest shift will jeopardize the entire expedition. "Andromeda" will stay near the planet for only 6 days, and during this time it will be difficult for the module to squeeze out the maximum information from Proxima Centauri. Now scientists are pondering whether it would be wise at all to send the device on such a distant and risky journey.
