On Wednesday, October 17, an explosion thundered at the Kerch Polytechnic College at 11:25 am.
According to preliminary data, as a result of the emergency, 18 people died, 53 were wounded, 12 of them were in serious condition.
Fifteen ambulance teams from Crimea are working on the spot, two more have arrived from Krasnodar.
The head of the Crimea, Sergei Aksenov, also went to Kerch, where an operational headquarters was created.

- An operational headquarters has been deployed, the tasks of which include coordination of activities carried out by operational services. According to preliminary data, there were two successive explosions - one in the lobby, the other in the dining room.
- It was not a "gas explosion", but a terrorist attack by several persons. My brother studies there, and at that moment he was one floor higher and was hiding with a guy who was wounded in the leg. He said that there were explosions, as well as shots, - the brother of one of the students, Vladislav from Kerch, told Komsomolskaya Pravda - Crimea.

Two improvised explosive devices were found in the college, one of them was activated by the "raider", and the other was defused by the security forces.
So far, only three bodies of the dead have been delivered to the Kerch morgue, the rest are at the scene, explosion technicians are still working there.
