A five-year-old girl from the Philippines with a rare genetic disease, on which traffickers decided to make money, lived in slavery all the years. They deliberately beat the baby so that later she would beg for alms in tears. Thanks to this, passers-by gave Annabel more money, this was repeated every day, according to the Mirror.
Little Annabelle was born into poverty in the Philippine city of Bacolod. When the girl began to show Cruson's syndrome and her eyes became bulging, the mother, who was raising six more children, abandoned the sick child and sold it into slavery due to lack of money.
The gang decided to capitalize on Annabelle's dangerous illness, despite the fact that the girl could not even close her eyes to sleep. Because of this, the baby was tired all the time, but no one paid attention to it.

On the street she was accompanied by a woman who pretended to be a mother. She also suffered at the hands of bandits who burned her skin.
Fortunately, the baby was rescued from captivity by a charity when one of its employees was unable to walk past Annabelle. She had an urgent operation.
“She was completely cured, and today Annabelle knows what it means to enjoy, have fun and just live,” said Gonzalo Erize, employee of the Kalipay Negrense Foundation.
