Regular readers are well aware that we, from time to time, in one way or another touch on the topic of Flat Earth, not being its convinced fanatical sides. Nevertheless, we are not dogmatists of the Round Earth either, since there are different, sometimes very difficult to resolve, issues to the generally accepted picture of the world order.
In particular, on October 22, on the Turkish, most likely, site wired.com, which has nothing to do with a flat earth at all, local people suddenly discovered the great truth about the Turkish airline Turkish Airlines, or rather, flight 800 of this airline.
We do not know the details of the opening, but apparently some Turkish citizen was very impatiently awaiting a lady hurrying to him from Panama to Istanbul, so he ran on FlightRadar24 every five minutes and followed the flight, making screenshots. And when he put these screenshots into a GIF, he fell into prostration, being in complete bewilderment:

However, as we see, instead of showing people from the air a view of Puerto Rico, and then letting them watch dolphins frolic in the Atlantic and moving to France, Flight 800 flies through Cuba to Florida, then to Greenland-Iceland, and further through Poland lands in Istanbul. In general, his path is not close.
The versions explaining this miracle are different. For example, forecasters sing about cyclones in the Atlantic Ocean that blow against the direction of the plane and make a detour flight, thus saving fuel.
This is an incorrect version, if it is voiced by a housewife, and if a climatologist or a weather forecaster speaks about her, then he is simply a uniform idiot who does not know what the North Atlantic is, which even submarines avoided during ww2. There, to put it mildly, it is a little stormy.

The idea is also expressed that it is simply that Turkish pilots are at odds with navigation and therefore try to fly as they did on the seas in the old days - along the coastline, from coast to coast.
Some also think that the Turks are afraid of enemy terrorist pilots and try to stay close to the American air defense. However, Flat Earth advocates say the plane is flying perfectly correctly - that is, in a straight line on a Flat Earth map.
We do not even know how to interpret this hypothesis, so we will be glad to any opinion that can clearly explain what is happening both with flight 800 and with many other similar flights.
