Zane Wiley is a guy from Virginia who is engaged in an unusual and slightly creepy craft - he is a carver of human skulls. Zane, of course, acquires them legally. As the artist admitted, he was fascinated by human skulls since childhood. He was especially crazy about the comic "Ghost Rider", in which the main character turned into a skeleton blazing with infernal flames. As Wiley grew up, he learned of a thriving market for bones and figurines, and decided to try his hand at carving.
He bought the first skull in 2011 on eBay - it was an exhibit from the collection of a British archaeologist. The artist is engaged in the work in the garage of his own house, and, as he said, the neighboring children are afraid of him and prefer to “stay away”. When he sold several of his works, Wylie opened his own online store, where the cost of real skulls starts at $ 4.9 thousand.
