In our many-sided world, at first glance, all events occur chaotically and are not subject to any laws and rules. If we take a closer look into the depths of the centuries, we will see continuous wars, conquests, the fall of great empires, blood, grief and triumph of victories. All this is woven into a huge tangled tangle, where there is no end or beginning.

However, it is not a secret for anyone that the Universe, our Galaxy, Solar System, Earth and human society exist within the framework of great cycles. They all start from zero, gradually gain strength, and reach a maximum. Then comes the slow decline. Over time, it accelerates and, in the end, ends up at the same level from which the ascent originated.

After a while, the cycle repeats. It is an exact copy of the previous one, only other cosmic bodies or groups of people take part in it. If you move away from the bottomless depths of the Cosmos and focus only on human society, you can see that the duration of each cycle is 1200 years.

This does not mean at all that all people inhabiting the earth simultaneously "experience euphoria" from taking off upwards, and then "horror and despair" from falling downwards. The world's population has never been a single community. It was at all times divided into ethnic groups. Ethnicity is a group of people that have one stereotype of behavior and oppose themselves to other similar groups.

For example, the population of the United States is one ethnic group, and the population of China is another. Japanese and Russians also represent different ethnic groups. The same was observed in ancient times. Romans and Persians, Indians and Mongols, Slavs and Germans.

Ethnicity is not a race or a people. Several peoples and races can coexist in one ethnos. An example is the United States or Russia. Ethnicity cannot be squeezed into state borders, since several states can adhere to one stereotype of behavior. An example is the Muslim world and old Europe. Also, in one state there may be several ethnic groups. An example is Russia. These are the groups of people that are affected by cycles.

At the same time, one ethnos can be in the upswing phase, while the other one can experience a severe decline. Here, we can take the Western Roman Empire as an example. Her cycle is over, but the Germanic tribes have just begun. As a result, the once mighty power fell, leaving behind only the ruins of the Colosseum.

The barbarians, after the capture of Rome, on the contrary, began to ascend along the very curve that tends to the maximum. Strong states emerged in Western Europe, in which warlike and courageous people lived. Byzantium did not lag behind them, receiving a charge of energy from the Christianity that originated in its lands.

So we come to the most important thing. The cycle requires energy. Where does it come from? As strange as it sounds, but that powerful charge that sets in motion huge human masses appears from the Cosmos. It is the Universe that affects our planet, its biosphere and charges individual groups of people with invisible power. This is how passionaries appear. Those who, in their moral and volitional qualities, differ sharply from other representatives of the human race.

Passionarity is a certain state of mind. It is this state that pushes people to actions that cannot be explained from the point of view of ordinary everyday logic. Take, for example, such a historical person as Alexander the Great. This great conqueror marched from Asia Minor to India. This begs a completely logical question: why did he need it?

Why conquer vast territories that could not bring any benefit to the king of Macedonia either from an economic or political point of view? He killed a huge number of human lives, destroyed countless cities. Many children were left orphans, an unmeasured number of wives lost their husbands. For what great purpose was all this done?

Or let's take a look at Genghis Khan. The Mongols lived for a thousand years in their steppes. Grazing cattle, raising children. And suddenly they united into a single powerful fist and, spurring their horses, galloped off to conquer half the world. What motivated these people, why did they need it?

There are thousands of such examples from history. Quiet, inconspicuous, calm people suddenly acquire magical power and belligerence. He begins to look at the world around him in a completely different way, he becomes cramped on his lands. Having a small number, these people successfully conquer huge states, conquer densely populated countries. They fundamentally break down the centuries-old way of life, direct the dispassionate course of history in a completely different direction.

All this can be explained by only one thing - another ethnos has received passionarity. She came to him in the form of a powerful charge of energy. This charge provoked a passionary impulse, and a new cycle began. He safely reaches the maximum, and then, losing energy, falls to zero.

There are also many similar examples, when passionarity is in its last breath. Take the Scandinavian countries. Once upon a time, the Vikings lived in these lands. They terrified all of Europe with their ruthlessness and belligerence. What can we say about the current population of these lands. Calm, quiet, phlegmatic people. What conquests there, what ruthlessness and belligerence.

Passionarity is considered not only within the framework of the ethnos. It is inherent in individuals even in the fading stage of the cycle. A strong, strong-willed, purposeful person, devoted to some idea, is certainly a passionate. He is ready to give his life for his ideals, but at the final stage of the historical curve he does not find understanding among others.

When almost the entire population has lost its passionarity, turned into a well-fed and lazy crowd, any attempts to stir up this amorphous mass end in failure. Purity of thoughts causes rejection, and their bearer receives ridicule and insults. Only another ethnic group can shake up such a public. The one who has just received passionarity.

This is exactly what has happened over the millennia. A small group of passionaries mercilessly destroyed peoples who were prosperous and contented with life. On the ruins of the once great cities, other cities grew, then they perished in order to make way for the next. Well, what can you do - after all, history exists within the framework of great cycles.
