Inhabitants of the region find entire cemeteries of birds who died for an unknown reason
Recently, bodies of pigeons, sparrows and crows have been increasingly seen on the street, lying lifeless near stops, metro stations, kiosks and squares. It seems that someone is shooting the creatures of God. And not one by one, but in whole flocks.
A few days ago, a whole rookery of dead tits was found in Mytishchi. Their corpses were taken to a veterinary institution, where each of them was promised to be dissected and checked for psittacosis, salmonellosis and bird flu. Another dead group was found in the same city near a shopping center. According to ornithologists, the birds flew in a flock and crashed into the windows of the building. Simply put, they did not recognize the obstacle (clouds are reflected in the mirrored glasses and feathered creatures beat against them quite often). By the way, in many countries, feathered predators are painted on tall buildings to scare off live birds.
“I have a feeling that a new epidemic of psittacosis has begun,” a resident of Moscow Denis told Komsomolskaya Pravda. - Several years ago this already happened. I have never seen so many birds crushed by cars in Moscow, and it seems to me that they themselves throw themselves under them. I know that this is impossible (only a man of all living beings is capable of suicide), but I myself saw how a dove, like a drunkard, wanders under the bus. I tried to drive him away, but for how long?
Further, opinions are divided. Bird watchers unanimously say that the death of birds is nothing more than natural selection. They eat whatever they get, pick up an infection and go to the next world. And if there were no janitors in the early morning, we would have walked over these corpses! Animal rights activists seriously object: nothing of the kind, it is communal workers who kill unfortunate pigeons so that they do not fulfill their natural needs and do not spoil the city landscapes.

Avian flu has not been registered in Russia now. And there are so many pigeons dead because they are the most fertile object for the spread of infection. They live very crowded. And they, as a rule, have weakened immunity. Because they eat all kinds of nonsense. Far from natural food. Pieces of whitewash, pasties, seeds and so on. Most of the pigeons are sick.
A friend told me that he saw a drunken dove
- It may very well be. Only not drunk, but sick. With the same psittacosis, they experience an imbalance of movements.
If you come across such a bird, it is better not to take it in your hands. Because it is psittacosis that can be transmitted to humans. This disease is symptomatic of a severe flu.
