In Somerset County, New Jersey, there is a tree with a very bad reputation. According to legends, many blacks were hung on this tree by members of the Ku Klux Klan.
And it was under this tree that a certain father killed his entire family before hanging himself. Strange things happen to those who are near him. One person who climbed this tree said that he heard strange sounds coming from the tree when he was sitting on its branch. The teenager, who did not believe the rumors about the tree, stopped his car, urinated on it and calmly drove on, laughing at prejudice, and then his car suddenly accelerated, lost control and crashed into another tree. Often screams and voices are heard from the tree. One visitor decided to take the wood chip home as a souvenir and began to see the ghost of an old man. It stopped only when he returned the part taken from him to the tree. Another man came to the tree with friends and took a picture on the Polaroid. When the photograph appeared, in addition to the men, there was a woman in a red dress, hanging from one of the branches.
In 2013, New York City had a problem with parks that everyone quietly ignored. On July 20, a thirteen-year-old girl was injured by a tree branch falling on her shoulder and back. The odd thing is that in the six weeks prior to the incident, six people were injured in parks in the city from branches falling on them, and the parks department refused to tell reporters about the details of how the girl was injured. Six days earlier, a 51-year-old man was injured when a branch six meters long fell on him. The next day, a five-year-old boy found himself under a fallen branch.
Similar events took place in June. The New York Times even ran an article that the previous year had a record number of deaths from fallen branches. The city authorities did not take any action. On August 4, 2013, a pregnant woman was sitting with a friend on a bench in one of the parks when a huge branch fell on her. An ambulance was immediately called, but the woman died before she was taken to the hospital. Despite the fact that the city authorities tried to say that the branch fell because it was "God's will" and chance, photographs appeared on the Internet, which showed that the tree that killed the girl was thoroughly rotten. The only accident on that unfortunate day.
